Well my morning hasn’t gone to plan. Neighbour phone in agony, docs wouldn’t come out or send an ambulance. She phoned for an ambulance and they wouldn’t come. I went up and got an ambulance but was also prepared to take her in. She has quite a menagerie but had managed to do most of the feeding. Whilst I was waiting I got the ponies in their stables, dogs (5) in their cages and sort up. Flagged the ambulance down ( weren’t sure where it was) and she got taken to hospital. So I’ve mucked the ponies out and put fresh beds down. They’re currently munching hay on a hard standing, filled up the nets but put hay on the floor in the stables ready for tonight. Filled up all the water buckets and the sheep’s hay rack. Swept the yard, had the dogs out for a run. Just come home and had brunch. I’ve got a list of what needs to be fed and amounts. I’ll go back up at 1 let the dogs out and make up the feeds. I’ve got to be in work at 2.30 so need to get a shower and change after I’ve done them. Hoping OH will ring then he can give them the feeds when he gets back. Also he can be on standby if she’s let out today. Needless to say I haven’t cleaned the cottage this morning!  Did let friend know it was an emergency.

Gosh it’s windy. From our bedroom window I can see the pickup wobbling about. I’m trying to pluck up courage to get out of bed and go and muck out neighbours ponies. I also need to retrieve some plants that have blown away!
I’m working this afternoon and really not looking forward to driving in.
