I've had a peace lily for many years and despite neglect it thrives 🤷🏼‍♀️ [hope I've not jinxed it].  Mine is in the light but not direct sun.  If I forget to water it, it starts to wilt but recovers with a soaking from below.  Doesn't seem to need much watering in the winter but I give it some feed in the spring, refresh the soil at the top of the pot and have repotted it once over the years.  Good luck 💮

Thanks for the peace lily advice. I did try doctor google but all the advice was a bit contradictory. Like brown leaves too much or too little water ( not helpful) I was watering it once a week but watered it again and it does seem to have perked up a bit. No flowers yet.
Awww thanks @dawnybabes. I do think I’m just talking to myself and bored everyone to death.
Once again another stunning day but it’s very cold. Managed to line dry washing yesterday and got the bedding out now and another load nearly finished.
I ended up making 2 lasagnas, 2 lemon drizzles, the crumble mixture ready for assembly and cooked the tart pastry also ready for assembling. 1 more sleep and they’ll be here.
Need to hoover and dust, OH is on bathroom duties.
I didn’t manage to top my pots up with as much as I’d like this month. I think I was £250 short. However I wasn’t expecting a council tax payment to be taken which it was. I’ll not have to pay it next month, I forgot they messed it up last year, so hopefully the shortfall will be sorted if I don’t manage to scrape it back out of this months wages. I feel the rest of the week could be expensive with the visitors.

Another one who enjoys reading your diary.  You live in such a lovely part of the country and it's such a different lifestyle to where I live.

the crochet runner for your neighbour sounds nice.  Look forward to seeing photos when you've finished it.  I'm making a crochet blanket for youngest grandson to keep in the car so he can tuck up warm in his car seat.  It's a great opportunity to learn a ripple pattern as the blanket isn't too big and bulky but looks effective.  It's also got short rows to unravel when I end up with too many or too few stitches at the end of the row.

Thanks for the input and as long as I’m not boring you rigid I’ll carry on waffling. It’s nice to have visitors, though I do read a few diaries and I’m guilty of just reading and not posting.
Yesterday’s washing was all line dried and smelt glorious!  Bed remade and for once had a lush nights sleep!
Tonight I need to finish off the Manchester tart and make Cullen Skink, which is a faff to make but blooming lovely to eat!
Need to get through a day at work first!  Also need to go the PO for neighbour to pick up drugs for her pony. A complete nightmare for her yesterday. Pony has stood on a wire and it’s gone in beside her frog and quite deep. Despite poulticing and Bute pony not getting better. Phoned vet who sent drugs out. Drugs were supposed to be delivered to neighbour but ended up in the PO but nobody told neighbour until after it had closed. Neighbour is fuming, pony not well and vet wouldn’t do a home visit. PO opens at 11. Neighbour has no car so I’ll scoot down and get it.
