Well that went well (not). So supposed to have a teams at 9. I started at 8.30 cos I owed a couple of hours. Got to 10 and then moved to 10.30. Finally at 10.45 it started a bit narked as it’s my day off. Decided they’d have me on speaker phone. Just as the Big Boss started talking the dogs kicked off woofing. Oil delivery arrived (due yesterday) could I move the pick up?  Pickup wouldn’t start had to jump it off my car which is now sulking and in limp mode. Came back to meeting and went in a different room but the signal wasn’t very good so couldn’t hear very well.

Sorry your attempt to make up time didn't go to plan. Totally been there - not with the dogs - but the frustrating of logging on and then being messed around.

Glad badders was better this week.

Early start on Saturday to pick DD2s new to her car up, it’s very nice. Called in at the butchers on the way past and the co-op to get some nibbles for the peeps who were calling in on Sunday. Worked Saturday night and did 12 covers. Not the easiest of shifts as they all turned up at once despite booking alotted times. Plus I had to do KP duties as well. I did sleep in until 9 on Sunday which is unheard of!
Did some indoor lawn mowing before the peeps arrived which means there’s less to do today. Bedding in the wash and towels now in.
It’s vile outside, one of the vents on the kitchen window has failed, with the direction of the wind it’s whistling. It sounds like somebody trying to blow a piece of grass between your fingers, if that makes sense. Not annoying in the slightest…..
Must remember to add up my meagre walking mileage for January.

Miles walked in January a paltry 8.74. The nights are getting lighter so evening walks will be back, it’s just the weather! I have started doing some walking things on You Tube and enjoying those.
The new manager who is taking over from the dark overlord has been revealed. It’s the same person who was one of the reasons I left last time. Slightly anxious but hoping I’m far enough away to not get stressed by it. I am keeping an eye on what jobs are available. I did talk to OH about joining his work as it’s one of the few places that employs people full time, just to see how he felt. Not entirely sure that’s a good idea.
Not been feeling great but nothing I can put my finger on. Very lethargic and hoped after having my jab on Friday I might feel brighter.
OH is away with work for one night tomorrow, I think I’ll put myself down for a pamper session. It means he’s dropping the pick up off tonight at the garage and I’ll go and pick him up. On Friday going to swap pickup for DD2s car so they can give it the once over before she takes it home. Also helping neighbour drop her car off at another garage and fetching her back, plus I’ll probably have a b&b shift to do.

Pick up has passed the MOT. Need to swap cars around at 11 tomorrow. Will also need to factor in jumping neighbours car so she can get it to her garage and then we’ll bring her back. I do indeed have a shift tomorrow night. Need to mentally prepare myself and get in the zone, it’s going to be a busy one, 2 people booked in!  Hopefully it’ll increase and maybe some walk ins.
A nice but windy day, I’ll take the dogs out later. Working today so I can have next Wednesday off when the DDs and friends are up. I’ll start prepping meals at the weekend and need to update my click and collect order.
Doubtful we’ll be going to badders as I think OH is a bit delicate and was on the lash till 3 am!  Who does he think he is? Some bright young thing?

    Gorgeous view!!

I think exploring work options gives some control at least. Any new business options for you in your niche location?

Thanks for posting SH. I do wonder if I should continue with this diary.
It has been stunningly beautiful these past 3 days!  It almost makes up for the shocking weather we’ve had. Woke up to some pink legged geese on the lawn, 7 of them and they didn’t fly away when OH went out to start the car.  Work was ok, 12 Friday night and 6 last night but was standing around waiting for them to come down.
I’ve been busy today, prepping for the DDs and friends coming up. I’ve made 2 lasagnas, 2 lemon drizzles, fruit crumble ready to put together and I’ve cooked the pastry tart ready to have a bash at making a Manchester tart.  Amended my click and collect order for tomorrow night quite pricey as there’s a bit (lot) of alcohol. OH will collect that on his way home from work.
DD2s car got a clean bill of health which is a relief. They said the advisories aren’t worth doing yet, so she’s good to go and has managed to sell her car.
Just working 2 days this week as I worked Thursday last week so I could take Wednesday off. No b&b either. Got some dates through for cleaning the cottage but fairly quiet so far.
Anybody got any tips on looking after a peace lily?
I ordered a top off Amazon, they’ve refunded the order as apparently my address is undeliverable. Funny Roman managed virtually next day delivery, shame I didn’t like it and sent it back.
I need to crochet another 26 squares and then I’ve enough to do the runner for the next door neighbour. Just a case of crocheting them together.
