You've probably thought of this but when I was trying to come up with garden designs I set up a board on pin trest and put all the photos of things I liked in there.  Lots of them only had a teeny amount of what I liked but it helped me get a good idea of the type of thing I was aiming for.

Gold star winging its way to BC. I have some pics I’ve printed out and got in a folder but it’s meshing it all together that’s part of the problem. No point thinking about it at the moment cos the weather is certainly not playing ball. Even the mutts aren’t very keen on going outside. 

I did book the PI £76.98 for one night with brekky and flexible in case the weather Gods are being particularly spiteful and we can’t make it.

OH is still at home, he should find out by 10 if he needs to go in. He’s loving these snow days!!
One of the shows we’d booked to see has been cancelled, which is annoying. Money should be coming back. 

Exciting news, the DDs and a friend are hoping to come up for a few days!! Hoping all their leave gets approved. 

Some new lights I ordered arrived yesterday along with the first Christmas present for 2025. 

Awake early this morning (4am) along with OH so also ordered some tumeric capsules. I think that will come under the self care category. Last day at work this week. 

Hound booked in for Friday. We will take the pickup and get rid of the old fencing at the tip.

Sounds like a good focus for the self care stuff and things like booking the PI are part of that too of course, as it stops trips being a massive panicky rush to get everything done and get back. 

I'm not sure whether to be impressed or disgusted at you having already bought the first of your christmas presents for next christmas, mind...!

Today was productive despite getting up late. OH sawed some logs and I chopped them, both stores are full. I’ve marked it on the calendar to see how long they last. Loaded the pick up up with some more of the old garden fencing. 1 more load after this one and it’ll all be gone. 

Got to be up sharpish tomorrow as the dogs the vets. Couple of other jobs to do while we’re out and about. Decided we’ll have lunch out, dog should behave in the pub. 

Had leftovers for tea. Got some sausages out for tomorrow nights tea but might not have any if we’ve had lunch out. 

OH took a generator back to the neighbours after he’d serviced it.

Getting the dog to the vets didn’t happen. The roads are sheet ice. Even with the pick up in 4 wheel drive it wasn’t going anywhere. Rescheduled the vets for Wednesday, OH is off and he’ll be able to take her. 

Looks like the sausages are back on the menu. Made some curried parsnip soup, it’s ok a bit watery.

OHs snow days have come to an end and he’s back to work. Roads are a bit clearer so should be ok tomorrow getting the dogs to the groomers. Just ordered them some new tooth powder I use, that was a small fortune but I ordered a bigger pot than normal. 

A savings account which didn’t have very much in has been closed and the money will be allocated to the pots when it hits the bank. 

Sold some lamps on FB so hoping OH can drop them off on Wednesday when he takes the dog to the vets. Still need to list some cases that we no longer need. 

Having a very easy tea tonight, chicken Kiev and oven chips. Sometimes it’s the simple things!!
DS2 is sorting out which SD card thingymajig I need for the dash cams we got for Christmas.

Dog groomer has cancelled, she’s got a burst water main. Hopefully next week, third time lucky!
It’s very windy today, so doubt I’ll move very far. Did go and try to collect the recycling bin but it hadn’t been emptied. I do remember that Friday was particularly icy. 

Not much else planned.

Bank of Dave 2 is on my list to watch.  I enjoyed the first film with its feel good factor.  I also use to watch the original reality series which was actually Dave and his real quest to open a bank.
