Ended up driving yesterday as the neighbours car wouldn’t start. For some reason the bonnet on my car wouldn’t open to bump start hers. That’s 2 cars we have that the bonnet isn’t working, hopefully OH will give them the dad death stare and sort it out.
Got all the jobs done and neighbour paid for lunch and bought me a plant, which was kind.
No sign of the wind coming (yet).
I’ve seen a crotchet course that’s being run. I need to find out what my new shift pattern is going to be before I sign up. I should know after Sunday when we have the meeting. Neighbour is also interested in going.
Not much planned for today. I did have it in my head it was burns night tonight, DD1 put me correct on that. So bumping tonight’s tea to tomorrow night and I’ll have to think of something for tonight.

Woo hoo a visitor. Yes, same to you beanie. Ordered heating oil yesterday, which should come next Thursday.
Negotiated the car deal. Just waiting for DD2 to pay the deposit then we can arrange to collect it. When she comes up in February she can drive it back down. She’ll have to sell her car.

    Another saying keep safe.

I love a beef bourginone (even if I can't spell it) but rarely make it as dad doesn't like smoked bacon.  Usually just a casserole!

    I love beef 'stew' too...

Eek to the car bonnets. Glad you are getting on well with your neighbour.

Stay safe. The wind here was horrendous earlier...

Glad you're safe and that the roof stayed on. I found the noise of the wind terrifying here.

The storm sounds really scary, glad you are safe.  It's teaming down with rain here and blustery today but i think it's a pale imitation of the version that battered other parts of the country.  The cat has respectfully declined to put his precious paws outside the door so far today.

I thought about you yesterday whilst watching the tiny islands programme (think it might be on channel 4) It's a very relaxing watch and offers nice glimpses of some fascinating places.

Thanks for thinking of me @blackcats.  I received a parking fine through the post. I do remember struggling to pay for a ticket. The machine wouldn’t take my dosh, so in the end I paid by card. Luckily for me I’ve appealed the fine and sent off a screenshot. Just have to wait and see what happens.
Had the meeting at the b&b, discussed menus and rota. Again just have to see how it works.
Work has been busy. I’ve got a teams meeting later this morning, I think it’ll be to confirm who the new manager aka boss is going to be.
Off to get my B12 jab later on. I’ll call in at the b&b and see if my services are required tonight, I really hope not even though the money would be handy.
Played badders last night and really enjoyed it. I think it helped that the really competitive players weren’t there. The other thing that helped was I didn’t light the stove so as it was freezing there was more incentive to go.
Off to pick up DD2s car tomorrow. Need to leave by 7.30!
Managed to give the dogs a quick brush yesterday.
