So not many more shifts left at the b&b until we close. Things are changing next year, the current line of boss ladies thinking is to not cook food on a Saturday. Not as mad as you think, it’s one of the quieter nights and in season more places are open. She’s not going to do platters, which is what I did on my nights. That’s ok as I’m progressing on doing the hot food. I need to decide the 2 nights I’m going to cook. The current options to choose from are Thursday, Friday or Sunday. I can’t do other days because of day job and I’d need to start early afternoon. Currently thinking Thursday and Sunday. The only issue with Thursday is it’s badders night (it was Tuesday). However as badders has only just started mid November and finished in March it doesn’t have as big a hold. Reasoning for having Friday off is there’s quite a bit of local social stuff happens on that night and it would be good to join in.For us quite a busy day. Need to tax the pickup and get the ruddy thing started. Something electrical keeps draining it. Then need to drop Gary Golf off for his MOT. If the weather gets its act together (raining) take the mutts for a walk. If pickup starts will take that to collect OH. Dig the.dog cages out ready to take with us. Need to chop some more kindling (without narrowly missing burying axe in shin) might delegate this to OH.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

The day didn’t quite pan out as planned. OH got the pickup started and all vehicles were fed with oil and screen wash. Even got the dog cages down and put in the pickup. We trundled off in a mad max style convoy. Arrived at garage and pulled in. 3 hopeful faces looked at me as the potential owner of the garage to help them with a flat tyre. Explained no I didn’t own the garage but potentially knew someone who might be able to help. OH came to have a go. The locking nut wasn’t gripping the wheel stud and therefore they couldn’t get the tyre off. We gave them the number of a garage that might help. Started pulling away looked at them, called the driver over and said we’d be back in 45 minutes with a potential solution. Trundled home grabbed a couple of socket sets, big hammer and impact driver. Dropped the disgruntled dogs off ( that wasn’t going to happen) and returned. The looks of relief made it worthwhile. OH banged the locking nut on (hoping he wasn’t going to have to sacrifice a socket) ratched up the impact gun and lo and behold he got the pesky thing out. Like a midwife delivering a baby he held it aloft and requested a high five. Spacer tyre put on with 4 nuts, advised to take it slow and steady and get the locking stud sorted. They asked for our bank account so they could put some money in we said it was fine and would hope someone would look after one of ours if they were stuck. They came out with some sweeties which were also declined. At this point we went to the shop and succumbed to some scooby snacks and came home.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Ooh gorgeous dog Dawn - but no, you'd not want to be downwind of one of those shaking after getting soggy, would you!
L that's a lovely bit of knight(s) in shining armour there with helping the folk out with the tyre - I suspect you will stay in their mind for a VERY long time! (In much the same way I still vividly recall the lovely chap who helped us get the spare released on my old Clio on South Uist on one occasion!)🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
