Ah, not much TC. Unless you’re really bored I wouldn’t bother.

Managed to get all the bedding dried outside yesterday, no mean feat living up here.  Tonight we're off to the village hall for a consultation thing about a pipeline they want to lay in the loch and through the glen.
Just booked a couple of days leave to coincide when OH is off.  I've potentially booked a taster session in axe throwing and archery.  Just waiting for confirmation that's going to happen.  Did think about booking an overnight stay in Inverness but the costs would've mounted up.
I was supposed to make a chick pea curry last night but mistakenly opened a can of butterbeans so they got lobbed in instead.  It was ok nothing to shout about.  Having leftovers for tea tonight.
Currently on hold to M&S as one of my parcels hasn't arrived and should've been here on 4/11/24.  I did phone on Thursday last week and was supposed to get an email about it yesterday but nothing plopped into my inbox.

  • Aww gorgeous dogs L, they actually draw one's eye away from the stunning view, which is saying something!

Nice work getting the washing done - we've had some out today but I suspect it may not quite have dried - and I'm hoping MrEH has brought it back in again by now as it's now threatening to rain!

I was watching an eagle through my office window. It was hovering and was getting ready to pounce when another eagle came and started mobbing it. I’ve seen crows chase them off but never another eagle. However what I found fascinating was it actually hit it on the back of the head. They ended up swapping positions and the usurped one did the same thing to the other one. Isn’t nature amazing. It was like watching planes fighting each other, off a war film.
I’m hoping I’m not working tomorrow night as the roads aren’t great with this cold weather. I’ll find out tomorrow if I’m needed.
Chimney should be swept tomorrow as long as he gets here ok.

  • I love watching the big raptors interacting - although you're right, that sort of mobbing is quite unusual isn't it!

Chimney didn’t get swept due to weather but booked for Monday. Didn’t go into work (yay) again due to the weather, OH did offer to drop off and pick me up. He’s managed to wangle a snow day for today.
I was supposed to clean a cottage today along with a friend. She couldn’t make it as she got called in to work (covering another person who couldn’t get in). So OH (superstar) came and scrubbed a cottage with me. I’ve only done this one once before and it’s a big 3 bed one.  I did treat him to a bar of choccy on the way home.
