@blackcats it’s not something we’d like to do, plus we couldn’t afford it. I think working in hospitality has a limited lifespan, certainly for owners. I’ve seen how it sucks the life out of you and certainly noticed it with lady boss over the last few weeks. However, boiling on the back burner we’ve always had a leaning towards pods. Before we moved up we did a soft planning application for 4 pods. There were certain things we’d have to do in order to take it further.I think if we did decide to go for it we’d probably only do one but make it fabulous, with a hot tub etc
Need to mull things over and not dive straight in. Also to add some not the pot is the mutts. They’re quite woofy so not sure how they’d be with random strangers arriving.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

I’ve been asked to cover the hot food line when a colleague is on leave. I did this when she was off sick. However (and please feel free to tell me if AITAH) I’ve found out that my ‘helper’ is on the same wage as me and the colleague who is off is on more than me. I feel a bit disgruntled that I’ve got more responsibility, to get the food out, make sure it’s the right temperature, looks appetising and I don’t poison anybody!
In other exciting news our niece is expecting her second child, due in April. Need to get crocheting again. This time next week should be at the airport, can’t wait.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

The dark overlord phoned me tonight to actually offer praise (omg) and tell me he was pleased with how yesterday’s solar meeting went. I was in via the phone. Managed to ask some intelligent questions about batteries, which is potentially the next step. Also going to trial the wind turbine and that install will start in October. Then the big question of working an extra day raised its head again. I’d rather do 3 longer days but not sure they’d go for 3 ten hour days. I might consider a half day.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Work was quiet on Friday which seems to be how it’s going to be. Last night was a lot busier. I did manage to put my big girl pants on and ask the lady boss about the money situation for doing the hot line. Currently not got an answer.I’m a bit concerned about OH, he’s a bit down at the moment. Part of the issue is he doesn’t have any hobbies, so when I’m at work he’s bored. That’s also another issue, I don’t want to be his sole focus, he needs to find something to do. I like to be busy, which is probably why I’ve got 3 jobs. Hopefully the holiday will help him to reset.Speaking of holiday, had a bit of a blip yesterday. I’ve got one of these holiday travel cards you can preload with currency. Tried to log into the app but needed the actual card. Couldn’t find it anywhere, which is so unlike me. The only thing I could do in the end was to phone up and cancel it and get the balance paid back into my account. Now in a dilemma as to how much cash to change into euros. Really hate taking money round and like the ‘safety’ of a card.Mission today is to process the contents of the fridge, as we’re off on Tuesday and I’ve got an extra shift at the b&b on Monday night.Current thinking on the fridge:
make naan breads with the yogurt
crustless quiche to use up some cream and bacon
if I can cadge some eggs off the neighbour lemon drizzle with some sad lemons. The rest of the veg can be chopped and frozen.Just started washing the dogs beds, so they should be dry by bedtime. Neighbour is going to look after them. We’ve been having operation daschound as her pooches aren’t very keen on my fluffies! Just got one to win round. Also need to have a fluffy grooming session and clean the out door kennel. We had a bird down the stove flue. I’ve no idea how it managed it. Sadly it died before we figured out how to get it out.The weather has been glorious (finally) yesterday it did struggle, there was a battle between the sun and a sea haar.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Yes, he does have a job. His shift pattern is 4 on 2 off. If that falls when I’m working day and night job on the same day then he’s got to amuse himself, also when I’m at day job wfh.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013
