Role I think. Though I now want rolos.
You seem incredibly busy, I'm assuming it's as well as rather than instead of? Don't take on too much, obviously I don't know how many extra hours but the cooking is split shifts I think? Not great for relaxation.3 -
Difficult about extra work - make the most of it whilst it's available because it's very seasonal or just say I would have managed without the extra money anyway so be kind to myself? I'd talk myself into the latter option but I'm definitely not a role model 🙃3

Do you "need" the extra work?
Is there any expectation around applying for it? (Ie do they expect that you will, so there might be negative vibes to not?)
Does taking extra shifts there impede on your work/life balance?

DD1 left at 3.30 this morning another 21/2 hours and she’ll be home. It has been wonderful having her here. Disappointed we didn’t get to do as many walks as she’d planned but the weather has been truly awful. We’ll see her at the end of September when we go on the family holiday with the whole tribe.I’ve got a cottage to clean this morning in addition to the two I do tomorrow so a bit extra for holiday spends. In the afternoon I’ll go round to the neighbours and give her a hand cleaning as she struggles. No payment from her (which is fine) as she’s looking after the dogs when we go away.I’ve got a sty coming on my upper eyelid of my dodgy eye. It’s not very painful just annoying. Optician recommended a rolled up towel with very hot water and then massage it.Money has been moved ready for the first of the month.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

All cottages and neighbours cleaned for another week. The weather is playing ball so I got up when OH left and he dropped me and the mutts off to walk back, just over a mile. I’ve got the living room blankets in the wash and put the sheepskin on the line for a blow (I’m not brave enough to wash it)
Last night the special was a recipe I cooked and goodness me I was nervous. I had to upscale the recipe to feed 5000 and do it by eye. My coworker said to me get a grip you can do this. Anyway I had a chuckle to myself as in my other role I’m quite happy to spend 50k on panels and not bat an eye but upscale a recipe I’m a gibbering wreck!! Sadly it was a really quiet night and only sold 4 specials, very disappointed. The sty on my eye is enjoying its daily hot towel massage and refuses to bog off. It’s more annoying now as it’s in my line of vision.Got the hounds at the groomers tomorrow so need to be up sharpish, you can guarantee I’ll want to laze in my pit and not move. The fencing chap called round and it looks like work will start next week. I also messaged dodgy builder to see if he has a start date. I’m not holding my breath.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Still not heard from the builder but it was the weekend when I messaged him.Work was a bit busier last night and sold out all the special meals so that was good. Went for a drink with the kitchen crew when we’d finished.Been out for Sunday lunch with the neighbour. It was nice and for up here reasonable.I’ve made a plan for what I’m taking/cooking for the bbq on Thursday. I’m doing a double shift tomorrow instead of Wednesday.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Not sure how we’re going to plan Thursday as one of the kitchen crews dad has been rushed to hospital with a suspected stroke. She’s over there now. I’m thinking just go for the bbq but not stay over. I’ve got a cottage to do on Thursday and half a day for day job as I’ve got to go to hospital on Tuesday. The fencers are making great progress and should be stock proof by the beginning of next week. OH did have to dash off and get some more bits they needed. Luckily he was off.All the DDs have gone out the accounts so they look a bit miserable.Trying to organise check in for the holibobs. It’s a bit like herding cats.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Sorry your eye / stye s playing up. That sounds really painful. Good your vision is improving.
Well done on the cooking. I think decisions we've made before or that are similar to others are easier.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
