I’ve been thinking I need to sort the bottom of my wardrobe out. I was considering getting a shoe rack to go in the bottom and mentioned it to my sister. She said she uses clear plastic shoe boxes. So I was looking at SF one of those when I had a random brain fart and thought I’ve got empty plastic boxes from when we moved. Fair enough the shoes won’t be nestled in their own box but I’ll be able to see what’s in them.
Had another brainwave to put a shelf up in my utility room. OH has been measuring and we’re hoping to get the wood on Friday when we’re near a DIY
Had a successful tidy up in the garage aka man cave and mounted some hangings so the gardening tools could be hung up.
Made chicken gyros for tea which were lovely. Weather has been awful so there has been no playing outside today.

Well done on shopping from home. Sounds like some successful organisation there.

Good luck for the hospital appointment.

Hospital been and done. They still have no idea what’s caused the blurryness. I suggested getting a new glasses prescription which they agreed with. They’re going to report back to the neurologist.
Very spendy day, Tescos, Lidl and B&Q all recipients of our hard earned dosh. Did stop and have an Indian on the way home as we hadn’t eaten since 7 this morning
Opened a Principality BS account for OH and I. Hoping to put £200 each in for the next 6 months.
Had words with Vodafone as I’d been logged out of my Spotify account and when I got back in it had reverted to the free account which isn’t what I signed up for. Vodafone no longer support Spotify and I had it as part of the entertainment package. Managed to drop that package and signed up for premium directly. However I can’t get my account to change from free to premium. I’ve tried dr google but still no success.
Another technical problem with OHs kindle, it only opens as far as the ‘fire’ screen. Again I’ve tried everything dr google suggests but to no avail. I’m hoping a chap at work will have a look at it.

It's so irritating when things like Spotify which we have up and running exactly how we want them get interfered with by "outside forces".  Makes me want to shout "just leave my things alone!!".  I did get through to someone at Spotify when I had a problem and they were really helpful.

So the roofer I paid a deposit to (who we later found out is a bit dodgy) requested the rest of the money before he’s even done anything. I politely declined and said we’d stick to the original agreement. Also if the work wasn’t completed by the end of September to return the deposit. Haven’t heard back and TBH we probably won’t see him or the money. I’m happy to be proved wrong!

Finally finished off the dog kennel and put some blocks on the roof to weigh it down. OH helped the neighbour as her hose had come off the radiator. It’s back on but needs to be checked at a garage with a lift to make sure it’s ok.
Need to leave for work shortly and hopefully collect a parcel. There’s uproar on the island about parcel delivery as Evri aren’t delivering to customers but to hubs which isn’t what people have signed up for.

I didn’t collect the parcel as they were queuing out the door and I’d end up being late for work.
A busy start at work and then a lull and a slightly busier end.
Not sure what I’m doing today. Was going to brush the dogs but as I didn’t get the parcel that potentially might not happen. I think I’m going to clean the pick up out. Might attack my wardrobe and wash the bedroom carpet. My life is so rock and roll!!

My day didn’t quite go according to plan. The main cook had a dodgy tummy so was unable to work and also can’t work tonight until she’s 48 hours clear. I went in, not used to doing hot food service but managed to do 22 covers, my sidekick was brilliant and we got through it together. Different person helping me tonight , I usually work with her on a Friday, think we’ll be ok.
Lots of thunderstorms this morning, it was quite dramatic.

Well done you on stepping up, not easy having plans change like that with short notice.  Thundery here too with a very dark sky 🌩⛈

Well done on stepping in to cover for the poorly cook.
How annoying about e vri - doesn't say much for their approach to customer service more about their approach to profits!
