I think the boat is his nemesis!! It’s still not fixed. Could go with DS2 coming up and helping. 

No news on the pay but at least I’ve said something. 

Just about packed up. Still need to do some cleaning as I like to come back to a sparkly house. Cooking went well yesterday. I made naan breads, soup, quiche, lemon drizzle and roasted some parsnips in honey. Fridge is bare and needs cleaning.   Dogs beds got washed. Our bed will get done tomorrow. Early start needed. 

Did a shift at the b&b tonight as they were short staffed.

Need some kindle advice, it got doused in a couple of glasses of cocktails (don’t ask). Managed to dry it out and get it working but I’ve lost all my books (497). I still have it on my phone is there a way of syncing it back to my kindle?

Holiday going well, think I’ve fed all the mosquitoes on Ibiza!! I do react quite badly to them so my legs are a bit of an oozy mess.

Sorry no advice re kindle but it sounds like it was having fun but over did it with the cocktails 😉

glad you are helping the mosquitos in my absence.  They love me too and can pick me out in a crowd.

Yes you can go into the kindle on your app and choose to send them to the device I believe. You'll probably need to download again the ones you want

You should be able to do it from the kindle. Select sync in the settings when connected to WiFi

Had a quick look at reversing the kindle app to kindle but not successful yet. I think you tube might help when I’ve got a few minutes spare. I do wonder if I should upgrade my kindle, part of me thinks it’s a good idea, however it’s not actually broken so not sure it’s justified. 

Holiday was lovely and everybody got along, even managed some time on the beach (I hate sand). DGD wasn’t too sure about it either until she got her beach shoes on and then she could stomp on all the sandcastles we built!
We both had a sports massage after we landed back, it was wonderful and I can roll over in bed without having to do a 15 point turn! Had a lovely weekend in Keswick, staying at a b&b we’ve stayed at several times. Managed to buy some Christmas presents so DGD is sorted. 

Returned to work to be greeted by 405 emails, that kept me out of mischief for a few hours. 

Had to go for my first mammogram yesterday, b00b squeezing done but it means I owe work some hours which I’ll do this afternoon. Meeting a friend for coffee and Zumba today. Not sure Zumba is my thing but I’ll give it a whirl. 

First shift back at the b&b last night. Currently have no KP at the moment so it’s all hands on deck. Boss lady’s husband was coming to take over at 7. He’d literally put 2 loads through and very badly cut his finger (probably needs a stitch). It was back to juggling waiting and clearing tables, prepping food and washing up. We got through it!  Boss lady has had a think about our conversation before I left and running the hot line and has offered an increase in pay, which is appreciated. I’ve extra shifts this coming week to cover leave, so hopefully I can find my feet and keep it running. 

Gary Golf is in for 4 new tyres on Friday and the ATV has a tyre that’s got a puncture so that’s going in as well. 

In other news the dodgy builder has been and taken the chimney down and made us weatherproof. So kudos to him and also very relieved that a) the job has been done and b) he hasn’t run off with our money. We now need to continue taking the chimney down. We’re hoping DS2 will come up in November and give us a hand. 

The dogs were chuffed to see us back and have been clamped to my side. Won’t be so impressed when I get the grooming brushes out!
Had a small win on the PBs.

Forgot to mention that whilst on holibobs DGD saw a cat and it was like something off Despicable Me, with the it’s so fluufffyyyy! Obviously she couldn’t say that but the amount of squeaking she did you got that impression. We taught her how to meow and it’s the cutest thing ever!! I’ve got it on video and keep playing it. 

Zumba didn’t happen, apart from myself and friend nobody else turned up. Went for a walk instead and did just under 4 miles. Felt guilty as I didn’t have the pooches with me. Touch wood my ankle is ok. I’ve got extra b&b shifts this week so hope it behaves. 

OH and I have been doing yoga in a morning, ever since we started my back keeps twinging like it’s going to develop into something more painful. Decided to give it a miss this morning but do want to keep it up especially as OH is on board.

DGD sounds v cute.  It must have been lovely to spend time with her whilst on holiday.

shame about the Zumba.  I enjoy my Wednesday Zumba - well actually it's the music I really like and the exercise bit is a side effect 💃
