Your work colleague's accident sounds very scary. Glad they are ok but I'm sure they will re-live it in their mind for a long time.
hope the weather situation isn't too disruptive.3 -
Survived the storm, though it did sound like the roof tiles were doing a Mexican wave a some points during the night.Called round to see friend on our way to collect the shopping. She’d been back to see the car winched out to see if she could find her glasses but no joy. Her dad had gone with her and it made him realise how bad it was because you couldn’t see the car from the road or the track it had gone off. She’s hoping to come back to work next week depending how sore her leg is. She did say she couldn’t stop reliving it and genuinely thought it was the end.I have made a very slow start on Christmas presents. OH and I don’t really bother with each other but I have got him a token pressie. DGD is done. Ordered DS1 some bits yesterday. I know what I’m getting DS2 just need DD2 to send me a link. DDs are mainly sorted, they’ve done very well as they’ve already had some things bought that were for Christmas. DD2 got an air fryer when she git her house. DD1 had new handles for all her cupboards and drawers (there were tenants in the house and they broke them all) when she moved in. Who knew how expensive handles are?
I’m debating about hanging on for Black Friday or just cracking on and getting things ordered. Thoughts people?? Plus patience is not a virtue I possess!
DD1 has had her new boiler installed. We’ve lent her some money to go towards it. I feel sorry for her because she’d nearly paid off what she borrowed for the carpets and now back to square one. It’s fortunate that we can help and she’s not paying interest.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

I would go for the presents. Personally I’m not convinced that you actually save much money with Black Friday.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Agree with Beanie, think the BF thing is quite overhyped.4
