I did feel mean.  It’s a lovey day, icy and sunny. Stripped the bed (always a Monday job) that’s hanging on the line, I doubt it’ll dry but it’s one of my favourite jobs. I’ll finish it off in the drier later.
Reminded (aka nagged) DS1 to get sorted with everything before he goes on holiday. I’m hoping OH will give him a prod tonight as well.
I’m not really used to gas so do prefer electric. If I did want to go that route I’d have to have cylinders outside to run it.
I think I’ve managed to do the online check in. I’m so rubbish at airports!  This is to surprise my sister on Friday when we fly to London. So far she knows nothing about it. My niece however is getting a bit of flak cos she’s in on it and has got her on the pretence of going to look after grandchild for one night. Sister is doing a bit of moaning about it. I really hope it stays secret. Still need to book a facial for both of us. In fact I’ll do that now.

Good luck with the surprise. Hope your sis doesn't accidentally ruin it.

From what I can gather she knows it’s a surprise and keeps asking BIL what to wear. I suggested a bin bag. Struggling to book facial, will try again today. We are going to a matinee to see The Book of Mormon which should be good.
Had to send my Tassimo coffee machine off to be repaired as it decided to stop working despite me trying all the trouble shooting options they suggested online. I hope it’s repairable. Dropped it off at the post office yesterday and put a note in hoping for a speedy recovery.
Cooked chicken Parmesan in the slow cooker for last nights tea. A new recipe which OH said tongue in cheek was alright! He helped with the cleaning last night, did the en- suite made the bed and dusted the living room.

To be fair to OH he does do jobs but it’s the usual that I’ve got to ask and it’s not done as a matter of course.
I need a kick chaps, and you are the people to help. I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been and look disgusting. Think of an over stuffed sausage straining out of clothes. I had a health scare in 2020 which should’ve got me motivated, I live in a beautiful part of the world so exercise shouldn’t be a problem. The problem is….me. I’ve tried loads of different food changes ww, keto, calorie counting, macros and hypnosis. I know when I see my sister she’ll give me a hard time. My sleep is appalling at the moment, not sure if the menopause is kicking in. I spend most nights flinging the duvet off then furtling round trying to find it. I also have to use a CPAP machine so fall out with that as well. Sometimes I feel like it’s trying to suffocate means I wake up gasping for breath. I don’t want this to come across as a pity post because the only one to blame is me and I’m the one who has to get sorted. I have made a doctors appointment for Tuesday so maybe a bit of help there.
OH will be away next week to Edinburgh for a few days with work, which means I can try and do a detox. Open to any ideas

All I can suggest is baby steps.
I sometimes do a wee mini detox with juices.
Maybe google to see if their is anything similar near you.
For me personally it’s better if I don’t have too much crap in the house.
    I certainly don’t move.

    Hope the surprise went well.

Shame doesn't work as motivation. Perhaps see yourself more kindly would be a good first step. Envisage what will be different once you lose weight. The Med diet seems to have a lot of positives for health - perhaps see yourself as switching to a healthier diet and see if that then does the trick.

  • I can't speak as any kind of success story as I'm battling The Dreaded Weight myself, but I must say since eating as per the mediterranean diet the weight comes off, I'm not hungry and I feel....nourished. Too much about dieting is restriction, and eating low calorie fluff full of chemicals instead of whole foods. I do much better thinking about feeding my body something good because I deserve it rather than restrict because of feeling ashamed. Hope that makes some kind of sense! Hormones can wreak havoc too. Perhaps docs can do blood tests to see if you're low on anything.
Also must say from reading your diary you're very busy, always walking the dogs, doing jobs, you're very determined and I'm sure you'll get there x
