Covid booster done (achey arm today). OH also got his flu jab while we were there. Indian was ok but it was really cold in the restaurant. Need to buy stamps and get a letter sent. Still struggling with getting access to PB I’ve filled in the paperwork and sent it off got a new password sent and logged in. Tried to log in this week and still locked so had to go through that again. Not overly impressed.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Still not heard from NS&I. However if the paperwork isn’t through for DD2s house on Tuesday then it will be next year. Kind of hoping that will be the case, just so I can have passwords sorted and maybe another win….I’ll leave that thought for the universe to pick up onWorks party was ok, had a quiz which confirmed I’m rubbish at quizzes
It’s OHs tonight and he’s managed to get a sleepover sorted so I’m off the chauffeuring rota. Aldo means I’ve got the bed and tv remote to myself.Gary golf passed his mot. So a friend dropped me off so I could pick him up last night.Going to make a lasagne to take down with me for Friday nights tea. I just hope everything comes together as planned next week.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

A friend is taking a sparky round to DD1s house today as the electric keeps tripping. I’m hoping it’s something simple. The weather is vile, windy and lots of rain. I’m putting it in here then I do it, I’m going to dirt my recipe file out. There’s bits of paper and it’s bulging at the seams. I need to be realistic on what I’m going to actually cook.I’ve been thinking about food and my weight a lot recently. My current thinking is maybe signing up for a meal plan. As there’s only 2 of us it might even work out cheaper. The trouble is we’re both lazy and can’t stick to exercise. Need to do some more research, also a bit worried about it making it up here as the post is a bit hit and miss.OH had a good night out and isn’t too bad today. He’s got to go to work so I’ll see him later. Just need to motivate myself to get up. Discreet overly keen to go out and I can’t blame them.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

I assumed 'discreet' was auto corrected from dogs?
On the meal plans - it depends whether you are someone who sticks to them or not.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Yes it was SH. Last day for me today and a long drive tonight.DD1s house nearly sorted, skirting boards go on on Friday so we can’t put anything in her room.DS2 and my friend took all the old carpet to the tip, so that’s a job off the list. I might even manage head office Christmas lunch on Thursday.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Great that DD's house is getting there - she must be really excited!
Are you thinking the sort of recipe box type thing for the food? I know some folk absolutely swear by them, and do say that they work out cheaper, but it must be said that the vast majority of those people are not what I would describe as MSE types, so...! I know they would be a lot more expensive for us.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Managed to move DD1 before Christmas but it’s a bomb site. Couldn’t put anything in her bedroom as they needed to finish the floor. She still needs to buy a cooker and the seller will reimburse her. She has no carpets and is getting measured up on 11th. The boiler is tripping the electrics, friendly electrician has been round and has a rough idea what it could be so he’s contacted the gas chap who is also back at work on 12 th. In the meantime friends are providing sustenance and baths.Fingers crossed DS1 has let his house, should find out this time tomorrow
DS2 is on a course before he flies out for work.Christmas was different and that’s all I’ll say. Watched the DDs play rugby and they did really well. They’re in the paper this week.Had a horrific journey back home due to the weather, trees falling and a little bit of snow. It took 12 hours but we were lucky as they closed the road not long after we’d passed through.Friends came over for NY which was nice. I felt my cooking wasn’t up to standard so need to up my game. I made
Baba Ghanoush with flat bread
pork in port casserole
chocolate banoffee pie.Went for a walk NY day to an Iron Age broch. That was a nice stroll and a walk we haven’t done before. That night we went to the neighbours. Not our finest hour as we were completely trollied. OH was off on Tuesday but as I work for an English company I had to put my very big girl pants on and soldier through. Head office took great delight in my suffering.I’ve got to drive 2.5 hours to meet up with my manager for a meeting. I’m really hoping it’s productive.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013
