Yep - "it doesn't feel like exercise" is exactly the thing to aim for - sounds like yoga could also be a good thing for you. have you found "Yoga with Adriene" on the Tube of You? Her stuff is very good, and these days she's also very good at giving clear vocal cues so you don't have to be trying to see her on screen al the time. Could be worth a go at home - she'll have a new challenge on the go at the moment for the start of the year to.

I feel you on the portion size thing - I'm trying to get into the habit of properly eyeing up what I'm cooking and stopping to think whether it's enough, or more than enough, and if the latter can I take a portion out of it for the freezer which will then do a lunch at some stage.

Just spoken to my SIL and she’s slipped on the ice and broken her wrist. She’s waiting for a phone call so she can go in and be operated on. OH is on his way home and just landed on the island. Fingers crossed he makes it home. He’s hopefully done a milk run as the neighbour needs some as well.
DD1s cooker has arrived and is on its way back to the shop. It’s too big for the space.  Hones Nothing seems to go right for her. Anyway it’s a job for her to sort at the weekend.

Hope DH makes it safely home with the milk.

Good about the carpets. Doh! On the cooker.

Hope SIL recovers quickly. Sounds painful.

Badders and yoga sound great options

Oh your poor SIL - hope she's not in too much pain.

Did your DH make it home OK and remember the milk? Hope so!

What a nuisance about the cooker - is she going to be able to get it changed for one that will fit without losing too much time on it?

SIL is still waiting for her op. Hope she gets it done soon. Yes, OH remembered the cow juice and made it home.
Well the weather has been interesting to say the least. Gusts of 95 mph and further down the island it hit 105 mph. More to come today.
Got the doctors today as I cancelled last week because of the snow.  Also a quick meeting with b&b boss lady about the coming year. She’s borrowing my carpet washer, which I’ll drop off at the same time.
Had to withdraw money from PB which was sad as we need to pay our tax bills. Just waiting for it to land in our account and then can get that paid. Badders should be on tonight and hopefully we’ll get u to I that.
DD1 has challenged me and DD2 to walk 50 miles in February. Challenge accepted so spent a while downloading Strava and figuring that out.

  • Strava is good fun - it's nice to be able to look back on what you've done and it's also ace for keeping photos you've taken on walks with those walks without needing to keep them on your phone and remember where they were taken!

Hopefully your weather has calmed a little now - I did notice some cancelled weather warnings pinging up on my phone so those may well have been the ones for somewhere a bit west of you!

SIL still waiting for her op. Badders was cancelled due to the weather, another windy night spent praying the roof stays put.
Had a meeting with boss lady and we’ve agreed I’ll do Friday and Saturday nights and possibly one other shift on a night. Carpet shampoo leaked all over my boot, at least it smells nice!
Doctors was disappointing but not really sure what I wanted the out come to be. Feel quite weepy at the moment so need to put my harvest knickers on (all is safely gathered in!)
Battling with the dishwasher spinny arm thingies, some of the holes are blocked and it’s a real sod to get them cleaned, I’m armed with tweezers and a needle but open to any other tips.

Managed to get the spinney arms out and after lots of prodding with a needle, flushing with water and adept use of tweezers got them firing on all holes.
Messaged SIzl and it could be 2 weeks before it gets operated on !
