Sorry for the reasons for closing down your business - but Skye is beautiful. Not working 6 days a week sounds good.

Did you just buy a house where you are or is that rented? I'm confused...

DS1 has bought the house and we’re renting off him. Made a boo boo at tea time, I was making mince and dumplings but forgot to put the suet in the dumplings. Actually they tasted ok.

Taken a load of stuff up to auction today and1 item had been sold before we got it off the trailer, so that's good.  The actual auction is tomorrow but we have to unload the day before.  Came back but didn't go into work DS2 was in charge.

Come home from holiday with a horrible tickly cough, felt rough yesterday so did a covid test and it was negative.  It's worse at night, so dosing up on sudafed, night nurse and any other drugs I can lay my hands on!

Cooking a new chicken dish in the slow cooker, hopefully it turns out ok.

Chicken dish was ok. Might do it again. Had to take OH to casualty today. While we were on holiday the chaps decided it was his turn to be unceremoniously dunked in the pool. In typical OH fashion he put up a fight and lost, however he hurt his heel, not sure how but he was hobbling. Anyway after doing a lot of driving yesterday his hoof was very sore so today was hospital day. He had an x-ray and they think it’s his heel spur that’s damaged but we’re waiting for a call from orthopaedics to see what needs to be done, meanwhile he’s in a moon boot. The nurse quite happily pointed out that this injury is usually sustained by thieves jumping out of a window whilst being chased by the police. DD2 has kindly offered to paint his toe nails.
OH has an appointment for a hearing test and possibly new aids at Boots tomorrow. He has NHS ones at the moment and they really are rubbish. He seems to spend more time putting new batteries in and complaining that they’re not working. The Boots ones are rechargeable and waterproof, so hopefully a lot better.

OH read 2 books on holiday which is unheard of and 1 of them was part of a series. I’d ordered the book for him and he really liked it. So much so he was trying to nick my kindle to read the next one. DD1 got him one off vinted and I’ve given it to him as an early Christmas present. I’ve managed to synch it to my kindle so he’s got the whole series now.

Booked the pooch in for her Spey for when we get back from Skye. The medicine she’s on seems to be working.

I was feeling very lazy tonight and got fish and chips for us 2, sausage and chips for DS1 and a pie for DD1 it cost £30!!!!  Won’t be feeling lazy for a while.

November should see the credit card paid off with no interest paid. DD1 will still owe me as I’ve been over paying it so it clears before the 0% runs out.

I'm going to try and make up some slow cooker dump bags and freeze them, then when I'm lacking inspiration I can just get them out the freezer.

Got the first of the reps in the shop today so will be telling them our plans going forwards.

Thought I’d got an early finish today. OH got his new hearing aids and I went to the gym and did the shopping. Came home, OH went for a nana nap and I did some crocheting. DS2 landed home and I asked him where the dogs were?  He’d only gone and left them at the workshop. I ended up going to get them

OH heard from orthopaedics today. He’s got to wear the boot for 4 weeks. That’s going to be fun!

It's awful how e bay are able to exert their power over sellers and there is no recourse.

however, Skye is a great option and I'm sure you will be very happy there.

fancy your DS leaving the dogs behind!  My DH was left outside the library in his pram by his mum - she only remembered him when she had walked all the way home 🤦‍♀️.  Luckily he was safe and none the wiser.

Sorry your DH is having a few health niggles at the moment. Hope things improve soon. 4 weeks wearing one of those boots sounds restrictive. Worth it though.
