The wedding was wonderful!! All travel arrangements worked (might be in karmas good books?) My sister made the brides dress and it was glorious. It was lovely to catch up with family and friends. Things seem to be on a better footing re sister, we had a couple of turbulent years in 2019-2020 but hopefully sorted out now. In fact she hugged me and then started crying, we aren't a very 'huggy' family so that took me by surprise!!
I've just had the credit card bill through but all the refunds will appear on the next one so need to keep an eye on it to make sure they're all applied. Still 2k to find to pay this one off as its still got house things on.

The fluffies are at the groomers tomorrow. My friend wants to go to a local show but I'm not keen. Hate to pay a tenner to see some wonky veg and scones! Also meeting said friend for a meal on Thursday night along with the other halves. Meeting a friend today foe a coffee and catch up and also have PT session and the joys of feeding the kitchen cupboards. Have sort of got a meal plan in my head but as we're away on holiday a week on Sunday trying to keep it to the bare minimum.
I have my flu jab on Sunday and will probably go to a carvery for lunch afterwards. Feeling shattered today, not sure why. I've also started to crochet some granny squares, my niece is expecting a boy in December so thought I'd better make a start.

Nice news on the family baby to come. Do we get to see the finished crochet article?
Hope you feel less tired soon. You've had a lot of stress and bereavement this year - it may take a while for you to find your equilibrium again.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

@savingholmes depends how the blanket looks when its finished. Got all my holiday clothes out the other night and tried them on. They are now in a heap on top of the case. Phoned about the wardrobe and typically they're expecting it in whilst we're away, I'm hoping to arrange delivery for the Friday we return.
The groomer cancelled as she wasn't well, so yesterday they were attacked with the comb much to their disgust, even the grandpup got a groom and she certainly wasn't pleased. I've had a lovely couple of days off, unexpectedly, Tuesday my side of the job was quiet so OH could handle it, yesterday DS2 was having his phone delivered so I took one for the team and stayed home. Today I've got some admin to do and them I'm off for a manicure, pedicure and eyelash tint. Tomorrow is wash and blow dry day.
DS2 has got his visa through to go to New Zealand and he's booked his flights. Him and GF fly on 14/11/22 not sure how long he's away for.
Went out with friends for a meal last night to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Meal was ok, doubt I'll rush back but nice to catch up.
Going to Skye on 3/11 for over a week. Asked my SIL if she wanted to come but she's not sure if she can make it. DD2 might come for a couple of days. She's had an interview for a job but she isn't sure about it.

Back off holibobs. I seem to resemble an Oreo! For once I was sensible and managed not to burn. It was lovely spending time together as a family, though DD2s behaviour towards the end of the week did leave something to be desired!
The dogs have been very well behaved at the kennels and the owner was pleased to have them. 1 of them is having a false pregnancy and is a nightmare. She was supposed to be getting spayed on Friday but that has gone on hold. She's on some medication to dry her milk up then she can have the op. She has taken to nursing a croc if I forget to put them out of her way. Mind you, the other morning she'd nicked a bra and a t towel out the wash basket.
The guests who were in last week had a party at the house and have damaged a toilet. Plumbers have been out yesterday to sort it. Hopefully got an oil delivery going in today which should last into next year. Apart from us going next week, there are no more bookings. I'm hoping Christmas gets booked.
So while we were away I did quite a bit of naval gazing and some serious chats with OH. I had 2 massages and a facial on holiday and OH had a massage, its things like this we need to think about, looking after us which we put on the back burner. I know in my case its because I think I'm not worthy and would rather spend it on the chaps or OH. We need to look after ourselves more.
I had a health scare in 2020 and I've adopted the ostrich position over it but I do need to lose weight to prevent it from happening again. I'd also like to try yoga/pilates, so if anyone can recommend any website or youtube where to start that would be good.
After the year we've had and with the way the economy is going we have decided to close the business and head up north. We've been winding things down since June and gave the landlord notice on the 1st of October, with the aim to be out of the workshop by the end of March, moved to Skye by the end of May.
I feel a bit sad that its going but its the right thing for us. Working 6 days a week and many long nights and early starts have ground us down. Ebay has never really recovered after they closed us down for 10 days. Our listings lost there standing and it was like being complete newbies again. It left us with a nasty taste that they could do this to us after selling with them for 18 years and showed us how vulnerable we were. Amazon is a nightmare to deal with and spends more time suppressing listings and taking them down because there's some box we haven't ticked.

Yoga - I'd suggest Yoga with Adriene(you get the added bonus of Benji the dog then too!) - she does a great 30 day challenge each new year which gives you an incentive to make time for the workouts. I'd suggest don't be tempted to go back into her archives too far if you're not already used to yoga though - she has got far better over the years with her cues and descriptions of transitions between poses and while you get used to her style and the stuff she does regularly the more recent ones (I think I started with "Breathe") are easier to follow.
I'd say congratulations on the decision to move to Skye next year - but right now I think you're struggling a little bit with the reasons behind it (understandably!) so instead I'll just wish you luck with it all going smoothly. It does beggar belief that eBay can essentially destroy someone's business like that and not suffer any effect from that at all though.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
