A short working day today, as we fly south for the wedding tonight and home early Sunday morning.  Dogs have been dropped off at DS1s and his GF is going to look after them.  Next month will be the first proper month of payments, which I'm not looking forward to but hey ho!

Well I think I must've annoyed karma big style this year!!  Just had a phone call from premier inn, (booked since February) to say the booking has been cancelled!!!  Lots of panicking but managed to find somewhere else but means we need to hire the car earlier which is more expense.

Well yesterday didn’t go according to plan. The flight was delayed for 2 hours. Phoned enterprise to tell them it was delayed and we still wanted the car.  They were also given our flight details at the time of booking. Arrived at Southampton, Enterprise closed, phoned the out of hours number to be told what time the offices open. Website says Enterprise is open 24/7 at the airport. DD1 managed to get in touch with somebody but there was no one to sort out the car.

DD2 managed to sort out an Uber but initially he was reluctant to take all 6 of us because we had hand luggage. We begged him and he did get us to our hotel cost £111 and arrived at midnight. OH has just contacted Enterprise to get our money back. Still need to organise taxis to and from venue and tomorrow morning to the airport. What can possibly go wrong?

  • Oh for goodness sake L - that’s entirely ludicrous is it. Personally I’d be approaching Enterprise to be paying you back for the cost of the transport you have now incurred above the cost you’d expected to pay for their car, with the threat that otherwise you’ll go straight to social media and blow their false advertising about 24/7 opening at the airport wide open. Appalling service. I really hope everything has gone smoothly from there!
