A little bit of snob in me agrees lol. I was always disappointed when I viewed houses with more than 2 numbers. I even lived at one
I'm a bit weird in that I love a 3 in my number somewhere, or it has to be divisible by 3 or somehow make a 3 (like 14 where you can take the 1 from the 4). Seriously coincidental that half of mine have actually the number 3!

    I have bought at:

    35
    13
    3 (yay!)
    207 (the shame ;))
    62
    18
    14
    32

Another thougt is, do not tell me it was one of those upside down houses that are all the rage abroad for the views.

There's no status in a low house number at all! Or a name. In fact, many house names just make me think of owners who also pay for private vehicle plates...

Our house had a name when we bought it and we removed the pillar with the name on it and haven't used it since!

Ours is a right rigmarole place name followed by Hamlet, nearest village then parish Town and postcode makes ordering online a nightmare at times.
But royal mail posties are Fab, hubby sent a Christmas card to Aunt he'd forgotten her married name and wasn't sure of the house name so sent it addressed to Auntie..... Road and village name and she still got it.

I have lived at 26, 69, 79 (numbers getting higher each time!)....
....then we moved to Spain and the house was renumbered twice while we were there - 25, 18,3 (numbers getting lower each time).....
.....then we came back to 79 again.....oh dear!.....
.....then moved to 3! And a name! We've arrived!!!

However our holiday home static caravan is 196B (oh dear :( ).
