I've recently switched from BT/AOHell to the Post Office for phone/broadband and quite happy with the move except for download speeds (nowhere near the advertised "up to 8meg"). Anybody out there with comments about the PO service in general? TIA0

Not as brilliant as you said then.:D0

Thanks for input jhp. Overall, for me, the PO package is brilliant (perhaps I should have used another adjective!?) like compared to my previous setup, especially the phone side of it. As far as broadband is concerned there is certainly something not quite right hence my interest in getting in touch with other PO users to exchange information either through these boards or directly by email.0 -
I feel the need to report that this morning, for the first time since I joined the PO last December, my download speed has jumped to the maximum supported by the BT line: ca. 6.5meg. That'll do me! :j Either recent extreme weather conditions affected speeds or my incessant complaints have been rewarded. Who knows...
So, from my description of the PO package as "brilliant" I will now upgrade it to "fantastic"!!! :T0 -

Second that Riki. I've been with the PO since October last with no probs and the fastest connection in our village. The Boys in Derry are very helpfull. You don't have to pay the BT cheque payment surcharge. Yep, fantastic.0 -
Thanks for input Dave.0

Dave, there is only one niggling thing at the moment: My Email under My Account has disappeared (it was there when I first joined in December) and despite several emails I have not received an answer yet. I would be interested to know if you, or anybody out there, have the same problem.
Also, "Names for Numbers" is not working.0
