 A warning for anyone thinking of signing up for Post Office Homephone and Broadband. I have unfortunately recently joined them. All will go well until you recieve your first bill, which will be for THREE MONTHS IN ADVANCE!!!
The terms and conditions do not clearly state this, (only payable in advance but no period of time is given) I queried this before my account went live and I was actually told that there would be an advance payment for the line rental portion only. Better still you will always have to be three months payments in advance. BE WARNED!!!

the cashback is good and might pay for the shortfall, I was looking at this for my parents and why did not move from talktalk to post office (in the end moving to sky) is cause the unlimited call bit is only evening and weekend and international is just weekend. Could not see a way to have it 24/7 with post office in a simple way for my dad at least :-(

if most calls are weekend mobile calls, its a winner

    Hi all

Iam not sure which one to go with for my broadband , any advise please ?
  • I've been having a nightmare with bt for the last couple of months, first my broadband went down for 3 weeks which was a nightmare and there response was it was my router (which happened to be out of warranty) so i bought and tried 2 others to no success, then it was my pc, but a new box later and it still didn't work. then it was a fault on the line 4 seperate times! then after numerous callos it was sorted, all down to a problem at there end.
Then my bill comes not only had they not credited me for the 3 weeks i was without broadband but i'd also been charged for services i can't recieve, a call later and they addmitted it was there mistake, but if i paid the bill they would credit me on my next bill, not happy with this i said i'd cancel the DD until a correct bill was sent to which they agreed, but they next i knew i'd been disconnected so i've paid the bill in full including all the things i was meant to have kncoked off and theve reconnected my line but despite several calls to them i still cannot make outgoing calls so....
is the post office any good for broadband and phone line rental ?

PO Homephone and Broadband is BT rebranded.
  • Does anyone have any experience with Post Office phone and broadband? I am currently with Virgin cable and it sucks and I want to switch to an ADSL provider.

The other option I was thinking of was BT phone with O2 broadband since I know O2 have their call centre in Glasgow.

Any thoughts on these services. I think they're both about the same price.
