Thank you both for your positive comments,it was refreshing to read , you hear so many complaints about company's now days ,So we are going to take the plunge and go for the standard pk. as we do not use it a lot and see how we get on,

Thats the trouble isnt it. Mind you theres no smoke without fire. what people say about Post Office Broadbands technical support certainly came true with me.

As long as your order goes smoothly you should be OK. The Broadband and Phone side of things is great and thats what you need it for anyway.

I honestly didn't think that they were that positive, poor customer service doesn't rate as " positive " in my book.

Instead of using a referral look up the cashback sites - they pay up to £20.40 cashback for broadband, plus up to £20 for the homephone.

I have now signed up to post office phone and broadband via 0800 sales number and referral ( quicker than ordering online i am told),quidco/Topcashback does not apply to new installed phone lines, they must be ordered via their 0800 sales team who answered all my queries and seemed very friendly.
  • Sales people are always friendly (after all they are selling you something and are invariably on commission). It's the CS folk you speak to when summat goes wrong that are the true barometer of an organisation's customer-friendliness.

Indeed, I notice that their support number for existing customers isn't an 0800 number.

Please keep us informed on what they are like as I'm sure others are interested in the Post Office home tel service.
