I agree with Jwil and MF that's it's good to have a longer note for adjusted working arrangements.  Try to ensure that you are the one that makes the working arrangements that suit you rather than feeling somehow guilty about your changed working pattern and trying to fit in with everyone.  Your reduced hours/home working isn't a lifestyle choice it's a medical necessity.

Hi Lucielle - nice to see you back posting. Hope you are okay.
Well I went into work today. The meeting went well. My boss has said I misunderstood her on Monday and she is happy with the existing arrangement to continue - especially given that I now have the advice in writing. So I am back home now -about to nip to GP for prescription. Cleaner has been so my house looks fab. At physio tomorrow first thing then working from home and then off again Friday. Boss has agreed more home working, more phoning in for meetings and only occasional visits to the office which is a relief. Work is a good distraction and provides some structure too.

In money news - our ex BB provider took a full direct debit this month which surprised me - but we have just received a refund for the majority of it - so go £38.15 back. I have a CC payment tomorrow - and then get paid Friday.

I need to diet and cut out / reduce junk food. I also need to swim more. I need to lose 3 stone just to get out of the very obese category which is scary and hard when my leg is so restrictive!

The BofE rate cut - should save me £60 a month - as my mortgage will fall to 1.2% interest rate

To be clear - I plan to continue to pay the £60 a month so if that rates stays for say 12 months - that will knock around an extra £720 off my mortgage.

Another thing I am grateful for today - DH has had a letter and he is getting a 3% payrise back dated to 1/3/20. I think that will work out at about £50 in our hand a month. Sadly we need to put it towards debt for the time being.

Good news on the mortgage and DH's payrise, but how horrible that you're still struggling with your leg so much.  Glad to hear that your boss has decided that the current arrangement can stay in place though - although sounds like they have little real option allowing for the medical evidence!

On the emotional eating thing, take a look at Pixie Turner's book "The No Need to Diet Book" - she has a lot to say about the subject and letting go of the guilt around it. It's a massively enlightening read!

I'm glad things went well at work, one less thing to worry about.

Your financial updates are all positive, and another bit is coming because of the budget today. Every penny in your pocket and paying bills off is a win.

Do you do a food diary or use the my fitness Pal app? Even if you start off having 2500 calories, then begin to reduce it by 25 a week, it's all a step in the right direction.

I've stopped buying biscuits, chocolate, crisps etc as if they were in the house, I would eat a packet in one go.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Thanks EH I will look into the book.
Hi MF - yes we should apparently save £85 each due to the NI cut. Not clear on where else we might save.
I should get a payrise at some point this year backdated to April when it finally comes but it is never on time.
I'm not currently doing a food diary. I think main meals are generally okay - other than I eat too much cheese. It is junk food snacking that is the real problem. I don't want to go back to calorie counting after doing SW - I'm sure I would cheat anyway! I eat a lot of junk food - I wouldn't cope witha total ban on it - but do need to find a way to rein it in. A food diary could be a good start. Eaten badly today though - so it would be the proverbial diet starts tomorrow....
If DD is still awake then - I have offered to take her to the gym for around 9pm so I can have a short swim.
