I doubt that you 'misunderstood' your boss... you seem pretty clued up as to what is going on around you, but if it 'saves face' for her then fair enough, as long as you can take the time you need to get well, without being pressured, then all's well.
Good news on the money front, £85 each on NI plus £50 from OH raise isn't to be sniffed at
Hope you managed to go swimming and your leg benefits from it. Take care XI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Thanks Crystal. LOL. Moving on. Yes I did go swimming last night. Also started reading the book recommended by EH. I have had physio this morning. She thinks the tear in my leg still hasn't healed and wonders whether it is horizontal rather than vertical and whether that's why. She says they may end up giving me some kind of boot to support my leg if that's the case. She also said that she thinks one to one hands on physio is about to be banned! So we didn't book another appointment yet.
I have done some apocalypse prep shopping and have refuelled my car. I want DH to collect DS from uni - but that will have financial implications for DS and therefore potentially for us so want to discuss with DH. I still want it though.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

SH - did I read before you want to publish a book? If so, have a look at Authorsandco on IG. The owner is running a course you can sign up to (free and online) about overcoming getting your book published self published.Hope it might be of use. Purps.2

Thanks PurpleFairy - I will look into it. My main problem is procrastination and fear of rejection - rather than not knowing what to do. I just need to design a cover - and upload it - with some back cover blurb and I would be sorted! But given I am not fulfilling my contracted hours at work at the moment - I would feel guilty progressing any other money earning avenues despite the book already being written... But if DS comes home he has said he may help me with that. DH may go up and collect him Saturday - which would mean he would lose his new zero hours pub job. But it was giving him eczema anyway - so not an ideal job for DS. We were worried he was at higher risk of contracting the virus a uni and the pub - and would then give it to us Mother's Day or when we see my parents (if we still do) at Easter.
I've just had to buy loo roll at Am**** due to there being none in stores. I've also booked some future slots for deliveries. Medicines are also flying off the shelves. I've been buying a couple of packs when I can. Me being me - I am also stocking up on craft supplies LOL so that if we do get stuck in isolation at any point - I have something constructive to do!! I've also considered buying diy supplies for the same reason - but then thought - I probably have a big enough stock of them already LOL. I know I may have gone overboard (likely highly likely) but it will help me sleep knowing we have supplies in to weather any disruption to supplies. Every business I talk to are making plans to deal with the virus - particularly if people are told to work from home. I wonder if it will bring local networks to its knees as everyone tries to log on from home at once! Some companies are already drawing up redundancy plans - scary times...
How are you all dealing with the virus threat? Ignoring it? Prepping or something in-between?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I was kind of ignoring it mostly as OH is the complete opposite and is constantly listening to something or another about it, but with the speech thing today I’ve started to take notice and it’s playing on my mind quite a lot now. Mostly the fact I would lose a lot of money if I had to self isolate and my grandad has a few health conditions anyway, so not freaking out but definitely paying more attention now.Good to read you would have plenty of craft supplies to work through
I think boredom will become an issue for a lot of people. X

I think boredom is the highest risk in any attempt at social distancing - because then people will break out and do stupid things.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Anyway - I have just been paid so debt and a CC has gone out so my debt is now £23,499. Should get below £23K this month. DS is coming home Saturday. Today I have a slight sore throat and a sniffle. Normally not a worry - but now who knowsAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Guiltily confessing that if I had to self isolate, it would give me a whole week to sort out the allotment ( own land, no other allotmenteers to worry about). Boredom wouldn’t be an issue!
Its the older generation I feel concerned for - those who are on their own and lonely and for whom self isolation would intensify the loneliness.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

I'm going to be doing my shopping after work, will pick up my usual things and add some store cupboard items. I've been running my stocks down because of moving, but I can always take everything with me and not have to go shopping straight away.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3
