Great news about the cat too, always so worrying!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Blackcats - I told MSE before my wider family - and only a couple of wider family have commented in contrast to here. So yeah I really appreciate the support.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The trouble with family (& close friends too often) is they always have lots of expectations & it doesn't seem to occur to them that those expectations could possibly not happen & just take it for granted that they will. Maybe some of us are on here because we know that some of those things don't work out as we'd hope & feel more of a need to say "hey that's great news" when they do.
