That looked like a nice walk, being at one with nature.
Your painting is good, reminds me of ancient writing or drawings instead of how we know it now.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
Thanks MF. I like paintings to have texture - so the colours underneath were doing using acrylic pouring techniques - and then when it was dry - I painted the silver... Just having a play with various paintings that I like the 'bones' of but weren't quite what I wanted. Vegged all day today - other than doing the dishwasher. Going to try and make myself do the washing next - or at least start it off. I have also renewed a website. Missed milk off the order - ~Doh!
Currently listening to P1nk - hazard to myself... prescribe me the day in the life of someone else... I can remember thinking that in connection with a relative in the past and then she had a massive tragedy happen to her... None of us know the load others carry - we all tend to think 'we're the only ones....'

Hi guys
Well today was another mixed bag. Started work at 8.15 - very early for me. My boss rang and I was like... no video LOL. I was incredibly stressed this am - but felt a bit better by pm. Then I was just about to eat a late lunch when DD called me to pick her up with her bike as she was struggling... So finally had lunch between 4 and 5pm!! I then did a bit more work and finished around 7.30pm. Hopefully things will settle soon. DD has just been given shed loads of work to do by a week on Friday plus its TOM so not a great combination. DH has just taken her to the gym though so hopefully that will help. When DH returns - I am thinking of going for a walk with pooch to clear my head followed by an early night.
DH managed to sneak in a haircut before me. Looks loads better. DD and I are getting ours cut on Saturday. Looking forward to that.
In debt busting news - £75 came off target CC today - so now owe £4150. Getting closer. It looks like DD's meals won't be until after payday - so we may not go into EF as much as I thought... We'll see.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I got hailed and rained on on my walk with doggy but managed 1.8 miles so pleased with that.
Got my blood test results today. Cholesterol is higher than it should be by 0.7 don't know whether that's serious or not. Sugar was 44 when it should be 41 or below but I had a chocolate bar half an hour before I went so don't know if that was linked. My liver function test was almost 3 times higher than it should be - but the receptionist said that can be linked to cholesterol... I don't have my follow-up chat until end of May - but it is only with the Healthcare Assistant so hopefully that means they don't think it is too serious. They are going to retest my bloods in a month. I do eat a lot of cheese - so think that may need to reduce....
In better news - DH is booked in for his second C19 jab this Friday and mine is on the 20th. Will be a big relief once that's all sorted.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I've only done VC once since WAH, all the rest it's sound only.
Your debt is coming down, that's the main thing.
Liver can also be linked to meds, so it's worth a quick look at those, then work out how to reduce something else to balance it.
Hope things settle soon for you as that won't be helping provide accurate test results either.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.6 -
I ended up taking flexi today. Good job too. Took DD to sixth form and then went back for her 3 hours later. DH went for a blood test but 'collapsed' at the hospital before they'd even stuck a needle in his arm. I had to go and get him. He was weird and disorientated. I can only assume his sugar was out of whack. He's now snoring away upstairs!! They've said if he's bad tomorrow get him to the GP.... DD is feeling a bit better today - some of the workload she thought she had has reduced. I've also written to the school to explain some of the pressures we are currently facing as a family to see if they will take that into account for her marks...

Hope DH is ok. You've been concerned about him for a while, would you be able to convince him to go to the GP tomorrow even if he is feeling better? I'm glad you've got your jab appointments. Hope all is well with the blood tests with the follow up.
I also very rarely switch on video for calls, generally only when it's someone I haven't met before.
Hope things all settle for you a bit soon."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6 -
Thanks Jwil. They were testing him because I rang his GP direct. Need to arrange a new blood test and at some point go back for his car. We may blow the budget and put DS back on insurance so he can help out more. Costs come down now he is 23Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I'm surprised the hospital didn't look into what happened with DH. Definitely get him to the Dr as a precaution.
The school should take into account mitigating circumstances, especially if she's had consistent results during her time there.
It's a good idea with DS and will take some pressure off knowing he can help with running about. That would be good 'value' for your money.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
They took his BP and sugar. He carried on being sub-par even after his sleep. Will review how he is tomorrow. He's promised to do meal replacements tomorrow to try and get his sugar back within range. I've bought a few things for my birthday today to cheer me up... Decided not to risk leaving it to DH only to find it didn't arrive. Hopefully this way they will come in time.
