Naughty naughty!!! Using f x 2 😂.It does feel harder so far this year - last week seemed very long and tough. I'm glad you are getting out into the fresh air when you can - it's so easy to stay in the warmth and safety of our own homes but exercise is good.4

DH has gone into work today. I am contemplating going for another walk since its lunchtime but - as you say @Blackcats hard unpeeling yourself from your chair and actually going! My FB advert is up and running again. It will be interesting to see what results I get. It looks like 2 clicked today and 1 bought... so far. Yesterday I had reached the heady heights of 534 in a category on Am**** but today I have dropped 200 places again... I am also doing a free online course on Am**** Ads on too - so debating how much to put into that. They said advertise in the US as will sell more than adverts in the UK. Definitely need to consider that one. At the moment I've focused on my UK account...
I've had my payslip through and the £17 expenses has come through - and got the benefit of the WFH monthly tax back amount... It all helps. My brain refused to cooperate yesterday and I didn't get anything written on my book either... £-wise things are still going well.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

It's very early days with your book, take any free advertising and word of mouth you can get, then look to expand as time goes on.

I got 2 clicks from the advert today and 1 bought which is an improvement on last week where I had 8 clicks and I don't think any bought. I'd accidentally advertised in the USA with a UK link - so I stopped that advert. I get charged per click and per person that 'engaged' with the post whatever that means... I've set an average budget of £2 per day for 5 days so it's all learning. I get paid Friday so I may up my advert spend then and experiment a bit more.
DD and I walked pooch earlier - in the light!! It was good to get some fresh air and broke up the day. I got some things done for work today so feeling a bit better. Tomorrow I have a couple of meetings so I am sure that it will be easier to be productive tomorrow... DH had to go into work but there's only a skeleton staff so relatively low risk. Annoyingly both kids made me take them to McDs separately.... One breaking up my work day and one after... DS had vouchers... DH had gone to bed or I'd have got him to take them. I unpacked and packed the dishwasher today... Where's my sticker chart? Perhaps that's what I need to do - set up a chore sticker chart and see if it gets results... ie the rest of the family help.
This week is so much better than it could have been - originally DD was due about 11 hours of exams - #find the positiveAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Sometimes it felt we were in orbit round McD's, but now the kids drive themselves and pay themselves apart from if I'm in the neighbourhood!.
Well done on getting the adverts working, but it is a tricky one to get right, and to track which bits of your advertising is getting the result and which not.
My OH is enjoying the longer days - not a lot at the moment but noticeableI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Hi Mark, Jwil, MF, Blackcats and Lucielle - orbit around McDs is a good phrase and very true!! They both paid themselves so that's progress. The brighter, longer days have helped this week plus it is slightly less bitter outside.
Thanks again to those who have bought my book - and read it - and then left reviews. It makes a real difference. Amazon give a writer the most prominence in their first 30 days post book launch so trying to maximise this time. At least I know for next time I should have had a load of social media ready to go. I still have done some but next time I will have it all pre-loaded. I'm trying to mix it up on FB with some cute pet pictures etc and not just my book but not sure how well that will work out... But who can resist the gorgeous eyes of a chocolate miniature labradoodle??Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Could print your book cover and use your cute dog as a stage prop 'reading' it?
One writer I do follow always uses his cats, talks about his plans and what he has got up to with supporting photos. It's not always about promoting his latest book, or previous ones, but building up a following, engaging readers and occasionally dropping in what the book being written is about, how the direction is going and plans for the covering art.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.10
