I confess I have been procrastinating for 2 hours!!! However:
- Had a call with my mum
- Got DH to peel potatoes - they are now on the boil
- Prepared garlic/brined chicken - it's now in the oven
- DD is now out with the dog - and I put one load of her washing in the dryer and a fresh load on
- I got my third 5 star rating on Amazon for my book - Exciting times....

Paid another £120 off debt. Get paid Friday. Then hope to make serious inroads into debt. Everything else with our direct family is okay. Have a good Monday allAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi MF. Still only getting to sleep around 3 or 4am - it doesn't make it any easier to work afterwards... Well made it through another day WFH. My attention was shot though - so must do better tomorrow. I did take pooch for a walk part way through the day which was positive. Mr A delivered £53.64. Trying twice weekly deliveries to keep costs under control and stop having too much stuff in at once. We had a few subs but they were all fine. I mentioned we hadn't had crisps last week and the guys said they'd had barely any stock of anything. He'd never seen the like with people panic buying. Hopefully that will calm down again.
I've worked out to hit my writing target of first draft of book 2 by Easter I need to write around 625 words per day. Best get at it then... I may just catch up on here first...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I don't understand the panic buying either, lots of empty or low stock shelves at L*dl on Friday but just adapted to what was there. We haven't been able to get poppadums from there for ages!!!
Hope the writing continues to flow so you hit your target.

The panic buying is strange isn't it? You would think that people would have noticed that the world didn't stop turning and we didn't run out of anything during the first lockdown or on 1 January as predicted for Brexit, so maybe, just maybe it will be the same this time? But still, I guess some people just feel better if they purchase the entire supermarket with no thought for others. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Hi HM and Tahlullah. I think it's natural human behaviour. I haven't needed to panic buy as I already had stocks. Some people pre-virus just bought their food on the day. I think it is those people who get caught out the most... I started January with the mindset of using up some of what is in the !!!!!! and tin cupboards.... (the plurals probably give it away... LOL I am trying to have two deliveries a week so that I can run my stocks down without triggering my panic button... I keep telling myself I can just get it on the next delivery. I've set up a subscription for TP and tissues with Am**** so am sorted there....
I'm not having a very productive day (other than my walk). Let's hope tomorrow is better.... I have some planned meetings Wednesday - at least one of which I need to prepare 3 things for so that will help me get stuff done... How is everyone else coping?

I'm not looking forward to going back - as I have some of my least favourite things to accomplish over the next couple of weeks. I hope it all goes well for you tomorrow - at least you can lose yourself in thinking about plot twists for you novel if the meeting gets too dull
