I made it!!! Got to the weekend. We were worried my Dad might need an operation but today he got told that medication should fix the issue which was a huge relief. It's funny all the things you have to learn with social media. I forgot to put tags on my posts LOL. Ah well. I'll get there.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Great news for DD.
Keep doing word of mouth for your books, personal recommendation is free.

Happy weekend
Good news about your Dad as well.

Yay to making it through the week, I've seen several memes saying what a long year this week has been and I totally agree!
Good new about your Dad too x3 -
Great news about your dad.
Do you have any local Facebook groups that you can post on about your books? I know round here people love to support other locals with their business ventures and are happy to like & share pages if not buy items themselves. Do your DC have any social media tips they can share with you?4 -
Thanks MF, JWIL, Welsh Kitty and Dancing
Dancing - it definitely does feel like a year already
You are right WelshKitty I should try out the local groups. I have been asking friends to share. I put some stuff on Insta but had to go back and add tags as I forgot... So much to learn. Some people do hundreds of tags per post.... I had a go again at doing my website today - but literally ended up having to go in a darkened room as it was beyond me for tonight!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well things aren't going to plan saving-wise - already had to transfer some £ across for a new phone case for DD (her's broke) and a new toilet seat where the soft close mechanism has broken.
I've been using FB, Insta and Linked 'organically' to publicise my book - and i am getting more people reading again which is positive. My greatest reach appears to be Linked although that may not translate to buyers. My FB advert is still on stop. Yesterday I paid £89 of my xmas £ to a website so I can say I am part of their author org. They do have some useful materials, podcasts etc so hopefully it will work out. My best investment has been C@nv@ which I used for creating my book cover, banner, social media posts etc. That was about £110 earlier in the year - you can use it for free to start - but I think if something offers a lot of value should support it. Pro images have to be paid for anyway. Debating switching to a different type of website as I just can't get it to work.
I am also planning to redo SW from home again and see how far I get. Will weigh myself tomorrow and go from there - but it's getting more urgent. Also need to get out with the dog and DH and walk more.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Glad things are moving with the book, even if slowly.
I'm also trying to drum up the motivation to start SW again. It would be nice to lose the lockdown weight before the time comes to venture back to the office!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". It's the weekend and people have a little time available. Maybe try and find a way to showcase so it pops up on feeds and things as people get up on a Friday / Saturday.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4

The book listing sounds good and you've made progress with the second one. I also need to address my huge waistline so I feel your pain.
