Educated guess. Whatever happens on Brexit, its going to tie down Parliament for years, but any Government will not want the whole issue to be about Brexit, they will want to talk about other stuff, for example topics that create a lot of 'noise'. This does.

How May sorts out Brexit remains to be seen, 25 days to go but, the parking scam is an internal issue, nothing to do with Brexit and those involved such as Sir Greg Knight wants this bill through quickly, it's his baby, no Educated Guesses please

The Bill has gone through its third reading in the Lords, and now just needs Royal Assent to become law, which will be a formality within the next few weeks.

But the Bill, once it becomes an Act, is only an enabling mechanism for a statutory Code of Practice. The CoP committee, comprising representatives from the parking industry, landowners, consumer organisations and government, will be issuing a consultation document, and considering responses before producing the draft code. The draft code may then be subject to further amendments in both the Commons and the Lords.

So there's a way to go yet, and I don't think 'Old Sparky' is that far out in his guesswork.

If this will be a public consultation document we need to galvanise the troops and the newbies to respond in droves to add to the weight of agreement in favour of the best suggestions in the document.

Will we know who from the parking industry is involved ?

EG: The IPC ARE ONLY REPRESENTATIVES OF A SCAM

It's sad but inevitable that the very designers and perpetrators of this disgusting scam industry will also be in the consultation group, you need a Frank Field to hold them to account!

Any new appeals system/ombudsman has to be totally independent with no connection to the incumbents of the current system. That has to be at the core of the new code of practice.
