  • Blimey DD is certainly motivated. It'll be interesting to see how much she can save up :T.

My mum used to say that my DS2 would end up a millionaire, which wouldn't surprise me :rotfl:. He makes good money and is very frugal, so he has quite a lot of savings. No idea who he takes after :o.
I know, I can't wait to see how much she saves either, she is really motivated to get her own place when she finishes her degree and gets a job
I don't know where she gets it from either,it's definitely not me that's for sure:rotfl:

  • She sounds really amazing with money. Sending something back. That is pretty impressive. I wish I had her determination as well.

I was good with money until 18 when I met my then bf. He never had any money and I was always paying for everything. After that, I just blew everything that I ever had!!

A busy weekend has been had here,I worked yesterday and despite being fairly busy it was a nice day that whizzed by really fast,I was in a lot of pain all day though with my neck and left shoulder, I covered myself with Deep Heat cream which made me very popular at work:eek:felt really rubbish last night so had an earlyish night

I woke up this morning stil with a bit of pain but some Deep Heat spray soon sorted that out it seems to have gone now so hopefully it won't come back

We went to the craft fair today which was really good, there were some very talented people there, we didn't buy anything though which I am quite proud of:A

We did buy lunch though so money was spent, then we had a wander round the Christmas market which also had some lovely things for sale but again I didn't buy anything,I just kept thinking it's just more stuff to clutter up my house that I don't need,I did see a really cute Christmas decoration though that I'm think8ng of going back to buy for DD2 because I haven't bought her decoration yet,I couldn't get it today because she was with me,but I might go back on Tuesday

I then came home and tidied up because we left the house in a bit of a mess when we left and I've got a load of washing on the go too,the dogs been out and is snuggled up next to me on the settee she is over with me mainly because the cat has stolen her usual spot on the other settee,he lies right in the middle of her blankey so she cant get on it and has to squeeze herself onto the end of the cushion and they won't share :rotfl:

  • Day off today but my day to have DGS ,DD1 dropped him over a hour later than normal because her employers have said she can start an hour later in the morning on a Tuesday as on this day she has to drop him to me before she goes to work,it's to help with her morning sickness as she feels a bit better if she doesn't have to get up at the crack of dawn, she is using her annual leave to do this but hopefully it won't be for long
The upshot of this is that I get an extra hour in bed which makes me a happy nanny :j I was annoyed this morning though because I still woke up at 6.10 which is when I would normally have to get up when DGS comes, hopefully next week it will work and I will stay asleep

We went to visit my friend for a coffee in the morning and she had a little set of cars on a track for him to play with,he loved it so I decided to see if I could get something like it for his Xmas present,I was going to just buy him something small and then put some money in an account to take him out but I changed my mind and ordered him a set of cars and a track for them to go on
It's by VTech that make educational toys and the vehicles make noises and sing songs plus when you drive them over certain points on the track they activate a song or voice message to teach them numbers and colours etc
DD1 won't like it because she thinks he's got enough but I think he will get good use out of it and it's able to be dismantled and put away so she doesn't have to leave it out,I think his dad will also enjoy playing with it along with DGS,so it's something they can do together, you can also get lots of add on sets and different vehicles so its something that could be expanded giving options for further presents down the line if he likes it:)
It came to £37.99 altogether which I'm really happy with as my budget was £50 so I've saved myself some money too

Mum and Dads books still hadn't arrived today so I checked the parcel tracking thing on Amaazonn and it says it was delivered today and left with my next door neighbour, but the postman or courier didn't leave me a card so I didnt know,I think it's a bit late to pop round there now so I will get them in the morning
I have now finished Mum,Dad and DGSs Xmas presents and just have a couple more bits to get both DDs and I'm done:j:j:j

The other decision I made today was to buy a baby booster seat that attaches to a dining chair for DGS to use instead of a high chair,I have got a high chair that I'm borrowing from my niece but it's quite bulky and I don't have anywhere to put it away so it's in the corner of my living room by my craft desk,it's been getting on my nerves for a while now so I want it gone and now DGS is 16 months old he is stable enough to be able to use a booster seat,I want him to be able to sit up at the table with us on Xmas day so this will be ideal,it also folds flat when not in use so I can just leave it on a chair and push it under the table out of the way, I haven't bought it yet I'm going to go and buy it on Thursday on my next day off

I haven't really achieved much housewise today because of going out and DGS decided not to have a nap so I was entertaining him all day,I did get lots of exercise though as I have discovered he likes me to chase him round the coffee table:rotfl:,I also do this with my dog too:rotfl:

Tomorrow I am on a late so don't have to be at work until 12 which means I can have a lie in :j:j:j I cant stay in bed too long though as I really need to clean the chickens out before I go anywhere, they need a run round the garden too so I'm hoping it won't be raining and I can let them out at the same time, the plan is to get up at 8.30 which is a three hour lie in so should be plenty,we will see if I feel the same when the alarm goes off in the morning:rotfl:

Sadly the only downside to today is my neck is hurting again,I'm now going to refer myself to the physios at work,we can self refer at the hospital so hopefully I won't have to wait too long to get it sorted out

It was fun but I had to sit down for a bit afterwards because I made myself dizzy:rotfl:
