  • I always wonder what the candidates on escape to the country do for a living they always have such massive budgets! Boo to getting soaked in the rain!

They're probably hospital consultants, private dentists, or CEO's of large companies .

Thank god today is almost over, work was even crazier than last week which I didn't think was possible,I was in clinic all day so managed to escape some of it but had to go back to the ward in the evening to play catch up until home time,I have been feeling shattered all day but I'm home now,Ive had a lovely hot shower and a cup of tea and I'm off to bed shortly
DD has a load of washing on the go so Im waiting for it to finish first ,I now have two days off so I'm relieved about that

Tomorrow I have to go to the library to take some books back then I'm at home decluttering things,my craft desk is in my living room and it's a mess so I'm going to tackle that tomorrow,I can sort it all out and take my time, there are a couple of pictures on there that need framing and hanging up so I will do that, there is also a wooden picture frame that I made years ago,it's got no back so I have painted it with chalk paint and I'm going to hang twine across it and turn cut into a notice board,I bought some mini pegs a few years ago for this purpose and haven't used them, they are flowery and very pretty,so that will also hopefully be assembled tomorrow and I can then start using it

I've made a list on my phone of tomorrow's Jobs so I dont forget any of them,I do like checking things off a list:rotfl:

Your noticeboard sounds lovely! Good idea to have something creative to make up for the madness that is work.

    I like a good list, too. :D

The notice board is really easy to do as well but looks really pretty and it's cheap if you have an old frame knocking about,I just bought the bakers twine and some hooks which were cheap, the pegs came from The works so were cheap as chips,I used the little roun dhooks that you can use to attach picture wire to a frame to hang it up,they come in various sizes so I was able to get some quite small ones, then you can either hang it on the wall or lean it against the wall at the back of the desk like I'm going to :)

:rotfl:I am the queen of procrastination:rotfl:
I am supposed to be tidying my craft desk and was going to do it first thing this morning before I went out, this was because I knew I wouldn't want to do it when I got back,My day went like this
Woke up at 8.30 feeling veeerrrryyyy sleeepy so promptly went back to sleep
Woke up again at 945:eek: and actually thought abiut going back to sleep:eek:
Got up had a shower got dressed ate breakfast and took the dog out
Then I made the fatal mistake of GOING OUT FIRST :D I went to the library and returned our books then got diverted by a new staitionary shop ,I LOVE new stationary so had to have a look,it was quite nice but not really my thing plus I can't afford new stationary and I actually don't need any more to the point
The I went onto Mr S to buy some bits I needed for shopping and home, since I have been home I have tidied the house ,done the dishes and cleaned the chickens out ..........but I still haven't touched my desk:mad:
My friend is popping in in a minute on the way to picking her DGDs up from school, she will stay for about 20 minutes THEN ITS DESK TIME :j

  • :j:j:j the desk is done.......I repeat the desk is done :j:j:j it looks so much better now and I am no longer concious of the fact that there is massive pile of clutter behind me while I'm sitting on the sofa :T:A

I haven't hung the pictures that were on there yet and I havent done the notice board, but I might finish that in a bit

It's started raining again now so I'm snuggled up in my pjs in the warm,Im hoping it will stop by tomorrow afternoon because I'm meeting my mum for lunch,we should be meeting on Saturday but I cant because I'm working:(

Me and DD are going to a craft fair on Sunday,it's by the website Etsy and it's for local crafters to display and sell their wares,I'm only going to window shop,I'm not buying anything, luckily I am quite happy doing this now ,we will probably go for something to eat though so money will be spent but we can normally find somewhere cheap in town so I'm not too worried about that

I'm still not feeling right in the tummy department at the moment,I had that episode last week where I felt sick for a few days and it's come back, I felt really bad yesterday and I've lost my appetite so at the moment I'm living on Ready Brek, peanut butter sandwiches and satsumas, cheap week food wise then:rotfl:
