My journey to a debt free life

Woke up with a nasty sore throat and headache 😢😢it seems the lurgy I thought had gone hasn't finished with me yet.
I had to go shopping today because we had run out of poo bags and I was running short on something to actually make meals with. I had potatoes but no veg so I've now got veg 🎉🎉I also bought some easy peel oranges for the vit c but they don't taste of much and some plums. I've gone off bananas since I had Covid and I remember this happened last time too which is weird because I love them normally.
Tomorrow I need to visit mum and dad which is risky but she needed me to get her some shopping from M&S so I got that today and will drop it off tomorrow. I will have to keep my distance and wear a mask. I'm taking B with me and going straight there on the bus.
I haven't done anything else today apart from lounge around feeling ill. I will try and have an early night in the hope I feel better tomorrow 🤞🤞Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -

Keep eating those oranges….I’m still eating through a glut of bananas we had at Christmas. I’d bought a big bunch and dd brought some she had at home. Nobody ate them over Christmas and I’ve been eating m since - they’re are too ripe for me now but I really can’t stand banana cakes or bread so am munching through them as fast as I can. Dh will eat a banana split BUT doesn’t like bananas to eat 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️….a bit like he doesn’t like currants but happily munches Eccles cake and Christmas cake 😂😂😂January spends - £587.581

@milann, bananas will freeze. You can mush them first to make a sort of ice cream or use them in cooking afterwards.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I've had two today so will need some more tomorrow 😀I've gone off bananas 😟I normally love them but they don't taste right after having Covid. The same thing happened the first two times I had it as well,I had to wait months before I could eat one again.milann said:Keep eating those oranges….I’m still eating through a glut of bananas we had at Christmas. My sore throat has gone but I've now got a cough. I've eaten nearly all my oranges so will be buying more tomorrow 😀.
I went to mum and dads today to drop off the shopping but kept my distance. I came straight home and put some washing on but I sat down for a bit because I didn't feel too good.
Ive got to go into town tomorrow to pick up the tablets I needed on Sunday.they had the script on Friday but she said it wouldn't be ready until Tuesday after 1pm 🙀 this is the tablet I take once a week on a Sunday so I've missed this weeks dose. I'm not taking it until next Sunday now or it will mess up my timetable, I also realised this morning that I need some more vitD/calcium tablets too so will have to request that they order them tomorrow too. I had to take some paracetamol today but I haven't taken any codeine for over 4 weeks 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I finally did my budget and this month is going to be squeakily tight due to no unsocial hours. I think I will just about scrape by but I still don't know what my energy bill is going to be. They seem to be billing me at the end of January and have said they are giving me until January 31st to send in a meter reading, originally it was the 3rd ofJanuary and I sent one around the 28 of December ( because of the price going up on the 1st) but it doesn't appear to have gone through ( funny that isn't it ?) 🤷♀️I do t know what's going on with EDF. I am going to send another reading tomorrow and if that one doesn't show up I will phone them.
I was supposed to be cooking a roast for tea tonight but I really didn't feel like it so I had a Garlic mushroom escalope with wedges and salad followed by Christmas pudding and custard 😀.
We bought a Quorn chicken roast to try so I'm cooking that tomorrow and the leftovers will be used for sandwiches. I haven't tried one before but DDs friend said it was nice so we thought we would try it.
