My journey to a debt free life

Ooh yes, I've tried that brand on before, but never bought them due to cost, but they do seem very comfy & sturdy. I like Skechers boots as well, and their trainers, I always seem to buy those....the Bay of E is a great place for bargains on them.Making the debt go down and savings go up

I looked them up and found lots of other shoes and boots that I liked as well. I will see how these go and they might have a loyal customer 😊Cherryfudge said:I have Joseph Seibel sandals (car boot find!) and they are very comfortable as well as sturdy. I think they are marketed as 'the European comfort shoe'. Your boots sound lovely and I expect they'll pay you back in longevity and care for your feet.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -
I had never heard of them but apparently they are a European company ,they do some lovely boots and shoes 😊foxgloves said:That's a good brand, @OBL. I keep getting their footwear popping up on my FB feed, & would defo consider them when I need new boots.

I normally wear Skechers for work and will probably be going back to them. I stopped wearing them because I thought they weren't helping my pain issues but now I know it was something else I will get some more. I've never tried their boots though only the trainersMakingabobor2 said:Ooh yes, I've tried that brand on before, but never bought them due to cost, but they do seem very comfy & sturdy. They are lovely and felt like slippers when I walked round the shop. I'm looking forward to actually wearing them out 😊milann said:The boots sound great. Hope they’re comfortable 👍Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -
Work was crazy this morning but it made the time go by faster. The afternoon was a bit more civilised thank god.
I walked home with DD and we popped into the library on the way because she had a reserved book to pick up and I picked up a book about the benefits of walking for your health. I've been interested in how it affects health and well-being ever since reading The Salt Path and Raynor Wins following books, her husband Moth has a terminal illness but walking seems to keeping it under control. The latest book is a mammoth journey and it's amazing how he carries on.
I am still not feeling great and have an annoying cough so I'm still dosing myself up with everything I can get my hands on. Honey and lemon in hot water has turned out to be the best for my throat and I'm into my second bag of oranges. I've not felt as bad today so I'm hoping I've turned a corner ,it all depends on my chest recovering now.
Im staying at home tomorrow mainly because I need a whole day at home,I have lots to do so will be busy
I have an occupational health appointment tomorrow at 10.30 that I tried to cancel today but it's a phone appointment so I didn't need toOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -
Our energy bill was £300 for December too. I have found that I get the email saying the bill is ready, but I can't actually download it for another 24hrs for some reason, so that might have been what happened to yours. We are with Shell and they increased our dd to £250 back in October. Every month I go on the app and reduce the payment to the suggested minimum. Its down to £183 atm, and we are still £250 in credit.
Boots sound lovely. I need some new ones. The ones I am wearing are Read or Dead ones from the Schuh seconds website. Cost me about £15. (Retail for around £60ish i think) But I must have struck lucky when I got them as ever since I have never found anything I like in my size!

I read Raynor Winns books The Salt Path and The Wild Silence because I have been walking the south west coast path in sections since my retirement in 2018. I should hopefully finish this year and can say categorically that walking has improved my health 100% although I did not have a health condition anyway but doing a sedentary job and not finding time to prioritise keeping fit meant initially I couldn’t walk more than about 3 or 4 miles on the coast path which is very challenging in places. Now I don’t have any issue with a 10-12 mile stretch even with high ascents. It definitely helps my mental health and is very therapeutic.Hope the cough goes soon.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. wow, 10-12 miles is good going @enthusiasticsaver. I love walking and have signed up to do the Walk 100 miles in a year, but think I might struggle with 12 miles at a time. Especially now as I'm full of cold...lolMaking the debt go down and savings go up
