The wood litter hunt is real! We used to get the agriselect from p@h for £6.50 for 30l. It all went totally oos and we ended up with paper pellets, which worked well, but we're expensive. We tried the clay, but I hated it (cats weren't too bothered by it). I am now using the bags from w@itrose so it gets delivered with our shopping. But it's £5.70 now (we get staff discount off that though) annoyingly they only stock the very expensive stuff through their pet website which we also get discount on. The last bag we got was really really dusty which wasn't great.

It's working atm, it normally isn't as dusty as the agriselect one (before this last bag) and breaks down well, which means that it was lasting much longer than the bigger bags, so wasn't any expensive over a month. Will see how the new bags we have go. And I like having it delivered with my shopping.

I buy the same as S_A but from @sda. Sainsbuggy's own is rubbish - it turns to sawdust really quickly which then gets trailed through the house. Same for the other big supermarket that begins with T.

That's the one I used to buy but can't get it delivered now, they have it for click and collect though 🤷‍♀️

I don't know why the wood pellet cat litter started shooting up in price. Soot & Ash no longer require a litter tray, but while they did, that was our litter of choice because it is less messy & could also be trenched under our hedges where it just breaks down naturally. We used to buy ours from Waitr*se & it was about £4 a bag, so more expensive than the alternatives. Then it was £4.50 & the very next week, it had increased by another 50p, so we did change to the basic clay stuff then because the price differential was too big. I think finding a different online supplier for a bulk sack might be your best option, unless you have any local indie pet shops or garden centres with pet department who do deliveries.
I'm happy now not to be buying it. We have an emergency bag just in case either cat needs to be kept indoors for a short while for a medical reason, but apart from that I'm thankful for the cat flap as they've both got used to going outdoors for ablutions.
Good to hear you are still feeling well on your new drug regime.

I don know either especially as it's a by product 🤷‍♀️ I am going to look at my local farm suppliers because they sell it as horse bedding so it might be cheaper. I buy a 30 litre bag normally but the price has shot up from £11 to £22 🙀 last night I paid £17 for a 20 litre bag on Amazon and then found some on Vio Vet for £15 but that's the cheapest I could find. Both our cats have started to use their trays more as they have grown older ,they don't go outside much now especially in the winter .
The woodpellets are also used in some types of woodburners, so at this time of year a lot may be going to those people rather than the cat litter suppliers?  It may also be worth seeing if there are any that are lebelled as fuel in DIY type shops if they are very hard to find

I've found a few online that are labelled as fuel but they are just as expensive

The cat litter I use is Smart Litter wood pellet litter. It’s £5.45 for 10L from Morrisons. It used to be a couple of £ cheaper but has gone up like everything else. Only the young cat uses it, she mostly goes outside but I like to keep a tray indoors for overnight.
The one I ordered via amazon was from Morrison's but it's not this one, it's called woodys. I can't remember how much it was now but will have a look at my emails to see if it says

None of my other supermarkets seem to sell wood pellet litter 😟

The Morrison's litter was £17.99 for 20 litres and the Vio Vet one was £15.99 for 30 litres. I had already ordered the amazon one before finding the vio vet. These prices are ridiculous but I do at least have 50 litres of cat litter now and will have to make it last longer . I have a tray for each cat ( 2) and they mostly stick to their own trays. J is very tidy and economical with his but A just makes a complete mess so I end up emptying the whole tray everyday, I can scoop the corner or Js tray and just top that up but A likes to spread himself around so wastes a lot.

Another busy but nice shift at work today 😊I now have four days off so I'm very happy. I have things I want to get done over these days off but I'm not sure how much or what order or even if I will do any of it. I will see how I feel and what comes up. I do need to bath B which she won't be happy about but she is overdue now so needs must.

I still haven't looked at my bank account or done any budgeting this month so really need to crack on with that. I've been quite lax in getting on with it this month. I haven't spent any money anywhere that I shouldn't but I need to move money around to the right places before I forget and lose track. I still haven't had my bill from EDF which is annoying me, thinking about it is keeping me awake so I need to know how much it's going to be ASAP

Today was a NSD,I got the bus to work using my prepaid bus pass, took my own lunch and walked home
