I did not know that about the washing, I wonder if it would work for a specific someone if you were to do a huge load whilst chanting their name - note that they would only need washing out of the way and not to actually die :D:D

I hope you have a good new year, and stay as healthy as possible

I always clear my washing on New Years Eve and have a tidy house. I’d never heard of washing somebody out though…..my mum always said she wanted to start the year the way she wanted it all year round so that’s my reasoning.
Lol you could alway chant and hope for the best ST…..pleased your only wanting them out of your way though 😂😂😂😃

I’m another one who can’t stay awake to see the new year in. I used to love going out years ago but as you say it’s not the same now. It should be nice walking through town at 8pm and seeing the revellers before it gets too messy.

I don’t wash on New Year’s Day either. Years ago I did and someone I worked with told me you wash someone out of your family if you do. Sadly I lost my mum a few months later despite her being fit and healthy at the start. I know it’s just a superstition but not taking the chance again- plus both Mr SA and DD remind me about it every year.
I'm still up 😂 I'm not sure what's going on but I'm full of energy 😀 I was brought up to believe in superstition so there are lots I do and don't do accordingly,it's my mums fault as she is very superstitious. She will message me in the morning to remind me not to do any washing

I didn’t know the thing about washing. I was going to do my bedding but will leave it till the day after.

    Happy New Year x
It's one of many superstitions I live by after being brainwashed by my mum 😀

I got home from work at 9 and spent over an hour sorting the house so it's tidy when I get up tomorrow 😊

Happy new year! I was exhausted after my shift and fell asleep: now I'm up! New Year's day or not, tomorrow's Sunday so I'm going to enjoy my day off. :)

Well I'm still up 😀I'm too full of energy to sleep
Work was lovely today with a nice team on. I left at 8pm and walked home, there were lots of people out and about in party mode.
I got home and took B out for a quick wander to go to the loo and then I came back and spent over an hour cleaning downstairs so it's lovely and tidy when I get up tomorrow.

I watched Sam Ryder Rocks New Years Eve on BBC 1. I didn't know who he was but he can really sing just about anything, it was brilliant 😀

I am going to bed in a minute but I'm not sure I will be able to sleep so I think I will read my book. I'm reading Landlines by Raynor Winn and it's really good, I love the way she writes.
