  • So glad your dog is getting better. Our cars are still pretty young, but I am already dreading them leaving us. They will leave such a big hole. They have completely wormed their way into the family in a way I never imagined.

I hope B continues to get better. It all sounds promising.
Thank you ,we also have two cats who are now 15 and getting a bit elderly. We have had them since they were 9 weeks old so it will be a shock when they go .

  • Really really pleased about B ☺️ I was so worried for you. My dog is 11 in March, she’s a Jack Russell and they tend to be pretty long lived, but I can’t bear the thought of the day she will no longer be here. I know I’ll be heartbroken.
Thanks SA , it was a rough 24 hours that's for sure, I really thought we were going to be saying goodbye. Poor DD was inconsolable , I am so happy she is recovering. I don't care about Christmas now, having her here still is the best Christmas present ever 😀

  • So glad your dog is starting to recover. My parents dog was unable to manage stairs in the last few years of her life and my dad used to carry her up and down every day. She still had a good life I think.
Thank you, I am gobsmacked at the difference in her already.cshe can do the stairs in both directions now 🎉🎉 I think you can tell when your dog isn't happy and she looks ok to me 😊

  • Glad B is recovering well.  Great present choices for your mum and dad too.

  • What lovely present choices for your parents! It brought back memories of buying for my parents, especially the book that will remind your Dad of familiar things: my Dad had something similar. I also remember getting a flowery colouring book for mum (RHS, I think) as she loved gardens.

I'm so pleased your dog continues to improve. :)

Thank you Cherry, I wanted to get my mum a colouring book but I know she bought herself one along with some pencil crayons a few years ago but dad was mean to her about it so she has never used it. I reminded her about it a few months ago and she said it's in the cupboard. I might get her one for her birthday when it comes around as she might use it if it's a present

  • Final B update of the day.she has mastered going up and down the stairs and can get up on the settee 🎉🎉I took her up the road again this evening and she only lost her balance once, she didn't fall she just leant sideways and sat down 😊 she is now able to lie down on either side rather than just on the left with her legs sticking out and she is still eating and drinking. After what the vet said to me on Sunday I am shocked she has recovered this quickly. If he had  suggested we needed to PTS on Sunday I would have agreed and now look at her, thank god I waited until the next day 😊

I went to bed and asked the universe for more time with her on Sunday night and we got it 😊

The best Christmas present you could wish for OBL. I bet I know a little dog who’ll be very spoilt at Christmas 😄
I love the sound of the presents for your parents 👍
