Sun_Addict said:Poor cat with an abscess on his bum, thankfully nothing serious or too expensive. Anything to do with electrics is expensive but that option certainly sounds better than a full re-wire. Best to ask for an opinion though.Good news about DD’s flat. I bet you’ll miss her though.Boo to the sore throat I hope it clears up sharpish.B looks so snug and contented 😍
a second opinion on the electrics.
I will miss DD terribly but she needs to be out in her own place and we will still meet up and do things together 😊

Oh dear I spoke too soon as DD 2 tested positive for Covid last night. This is her second go with it and I'm really hoping I'm not going to get a third go at it. My cold symptoms have actually gone away today so I'm hoping I've got away with it,I will have to do a test tomorrow before I go anywhere just in case. DD has tested three times in the last week and they have been negative so her viral load obviously wasn't high enough to be detected in the first two tests which is worrying as she went to work 🙀 she is also upset because she now can't go and view the flat on Monday 😟 she's got 14 days to view it and pay the £500 reservation fee before they offer it to the next person on the list. She has re arranged the viewing for Saturday so hopefully she will be negative by then 🤞🤞Im actually quite worried because her chest sounds awful, the cough is horrendous 😟
I felt like I had been run over by a truck this morning so to get my body moving I took B for a walk up through the fields which was lovely in the sun. We got the best of the weather though as it's now dark and raining so I'm glad I went when I did. I'm just having a cup of tea before going up the garden to sort the chickens out ,I have let them out but I'm not sure if they are hiding from the rain.
I spent some time thinking about plans for re arranging the house last night. If DD moves out my kitchen will have a lot less stuff in it so I'm going to reorganise things to downsize what I own,I don't need half the things I've got and I fancy a streamlined kitchen.
DD has has one cupboard and a deep drawer for her food in the kitchen so when she moves out I can use the cupboard for my baking bits which frees up another deep drawer and I can move my baking trays into the other deep drawer. I have a tall larder type cupboard that used to house the boiler and the baking trays are in there on a shelf but if I take that shelf out I can store my ironing board in that cupboard along with all the pet stuff that's already in there 😊
I want to do this so that when I do move out eventually I won't have loads of stuff to take with me. I think it's the ideal project to keep me busy over the winter if I'm on my own. I also still need to decorate my bedroom so I'm thinking I could move into her room while I do it instead of trying to decorate around my things,it won't take so long to do then.
She will also be taking one of my settees that is currently in front of the radiator and I want to replace it with an armchair and footstool to go in the corner, this will mean the radiator is more efficient and I will have a nice reading corner under a wall light. I think it will look cute, I was looking in the Hospisecare shop at furniture the other day and they had a couple of nice chairs in there, I will also check out FB market place too 😊

So sorry to hear your DD has tested positive. Hope she recovers soon and you manage to keep from catching it. xMaking the debt go down and savings go up
