Oh, what a shame about your daughter's viewing, OBL.....so typical of the damned lergy to appear at an important time.
I like sorting our kitchen out too, & moving stuff around, re-arranging drawers/storage, etc. I particularly like getting a different 'look' by swapping around the stuff I have out on display,
Re furniture.....do you have one of the big furniture/appliance branches of the Heart Foundation shop anywhere near you? When we were planning the logistics of clearing out Mum's house, my sis & I popped into a branch to pick up a leaflet about their charity house clearance service. I remember saying to my sister that there were pieces of 2nd hand furniture they'd got for sale in there that were better than half the stuff I had at home! There was, of course some stuff to which I wouldn't give house room, but lots of it was very nice & in good condition. Just a thought, as I know you are being careful with the pennies after the wiring conversation.

What a pain for your DD. I have a friend who works as a carer who’s had Covid 3 times now.Good idea about the virtual viewing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Poor dd - what a time to get covid. Hope you don’t get it again. We have just had some plastering done on the ceiling part of a bay window and a bit of filler put around an outside window which was leaking- that cost £450.Love the photo of B relaxing 😍January spends - £587.582

My cold symptoms have actually gone away today so I'm hoping I've got away with it,I will have to do a test tomorrow before I go anywhere just in case. DD has tested three times in the last week and they have been negative so her viral load obviously wasn't high enough to be detected in the first two tests which is worrying as she went to work 🙀 she is also upset because she now can't go and view the flat on Monday 😟 she's got 14 days to view it and pay the £500 reservation fee before they offer it to the next person on the list. She has re arranged the viewing for Saturday so hopefully she will be negative by then 🤞🤞Im actually quite worried because her chest sounds awful, the cough is horrendous 😟Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202

The kitchen will be organised more in the way it will suit me when I change it and I'm hoping for mostly bare worktops.
I haven't got a lot of stuff out on my tops but I would like even less as it's easier to keep clean, I have a cake stand that I use as a fruit bowl that will go and a coffee machine that my mum gave me but that I never use so that will go this will mean there is just a radio and microwave in that corner.
The four slice toaster has broken in a dramatic sparky kind of way so I am going to replace that with a smaller two slot toaster. I use a toaster because I'm terrible for forgetting toast under the grill and have narrowly avoided a house fire a few times using my grill so it's safer for me 😀
The ironing board currently leans against the wall behind the kitchen door and it aggravates me every day so I will be glad to put that in the cupboard out of my way 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202 -

I love the idea of the virtual viewing, she did suggest I went and viewed it for her but it's a big responsibility to pick a home for someone else but if I took my iPad I could show her around 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1203 -

Im beginning to think that the price I've been quoted for my lights isn't too bad, I remembered yesterday that when I had my boiler replaced the first time about 15 years ago the electrics cost £500 back then so it doesn't sound too bad,of course I will have to wait now until the plague has gone to get it done but that will give me another payday so more money 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1203 -
Really sorry to read about your DD and I have everything crossed you don’t catch it. Just wondered whether you should ask the electrician how long the rewiring would take then you can work out roughly how much labour he’s charging you.4

I hope your DD turns the corner soon and that you don't get it. It's been one thing after another, hasn't it?
Another payday before any potential wiring (and the possibility of Council help if that comes about) would ease things a bit. I think virtual viewings must have been going on over lockdown, it's a great idea. It would also enable her to ask questions, maybe get photos and have a second opinion.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
