Don’t blame you, changing your plans……it’s been a horrible day. Dark, grey and wet.

Just spent an hour trying to book an appointment with my gp via online services and have now given up. Honestly I don't know why I'm even registered with a surgery because I can't get hold of anyone to help me. I'm in agony all the time and I can't be like this anymore, Im trying to hold it together and be cheerful and not moan or let people see that I'm in pain but I don't think I can do it anymore. I've had enough of feeling like this all day every day it's not a good way to live
Ive got so much I need to sort out but I'm just in so much pain all the time I cant think straight. Im sick of trying to pretend I'm ok when I not and having the extra pain of Sciatica on top of Fibromyalgia is too much. Im also feeling very low and my anti depressants are not making any difference, I need an appointment with my gp to discuss this but it's impossible to get one at the moment. I'm going to phone again tomorrow because the online service is rubbish and if they don't answer the phone I'm going to go down there and refused to leave until someone sees me or books me an actual face to face appointment 😡

I’m having the same problem trying to get Mr SA a GP appointment. They don’t have an online service “due to Covid” and are impossible to get through to by phone. He has very high blood pressure which needs to be monitored plus a problem with his bowels. Last time we were physically in the surgery for the Covid booster, I tried to make him an appointment while we were in there and they gave a date 3 weeks later. No wonder people are slipping through the net with serious illnesses. It’s just not good enough 🤬

I hope you get an appointment 🤞

Good luck - I hope you succeed.  The door to my surgery is locked all the time, they left me standing outside in hail a couple of months ago & I had an appt.

It’s horrendous that there isn’t somebody there to speak to at the surgery.  Not good enough at all 🤬🤬
I know the doctors have been really stretched to the limits with Covid but things were bad before too. I sometimes feel there is an element tagging every NHS problem down to the virus now - I do know individually all the doctors and nurses are tremendous and I’d have been really stuck without them……but something needs doing with the system. I don’t blame you phoning tomorrow - or going around in person. I know going in person wouldn’t get anywhere at my surgery as they buzz you in. I’ve seen them send people away. My worry is that it will never get back to what it was. And telephone appointments (if you can get them) will become the norm.
I applaud the way you’ve been carrying on doing everything.👏👏👏

@Onebrokelady I know this isn't a solution, but i have found my antdeps seems to work much better when I take one of those probiotic drinks a day.  Apparently most of our serotonin is produced in our gut so there is probably some scientific reason for my anti deps working better that they haven't found yet. I'm going to try making my own rinks with the bottles you buy as a starter culture to save some pennies. Might be worth a try to see if it makes any difference. I notice the effects within a few days so you would know soon enough.
Really hope you get to see the doc soon and they can help.  My sciatica is a lot better since I started on amitriptyline, but I know its not for everyone and fibromyalgia just sounds like an ongoing nightmare from what I hear.  Sending you lots of hugs.
Live the good life where you have been planted.

My surgery this morning had patients in the waiting room like me, it seemed like it was back to some sort of normality. I guess all surgeries are different, ours is a big one . Still a lot of phone appointments though rather than face to face .

I'm so sorry you are in such pain. I hope you can get a face-to-face appointment.
