Sun_Addict said:I’m having the same problem trying to get Mr SA a GP appointment. They don’t have an online service “due to Covid” and are impossible to get through to by phone. He has very high blood pressure which needs to be monitored plus a problem with his bowels. Last time we were physically in the surgery for the Covid booster, I tried to make him an appointment while we were in there and they gave a date 3 weeks later. No wonder people are slipping through the net with serious illnesses. It’s just not good enough 🤬
I hope you get an appointment 🤞Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200 -

I know the doctors have been really stretched to the limits with Covid but things were bad before too. I sometimes feel there is an element tagging every NHS problem down to the virus now - I do know individually all the doctors and nurses are tremendous and I’d have been really stuck without them……but something needs doing with the system. I don’t blame you phoning tomorrow - or going around in person. I know going in person wouldn’t get anywhere at my surgery as they buzz you in. I’ve seen them send people away. My worry is that it will never get back to what it was. And telephone appointments (if you can get them) will become the norm.
I applaud the way you’ve been carrying on doing everything.👏👏👏Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200 -
Elisheba said:@Onebrokelady I know this isn't a solution, but i have found my antdeps seems to work much better when I take one of those probiotic drinks a day. Apparently most of our serotonin is produced in our gut so there is probably some scientific reason for my anti deps working better that they haven't found yet. I'm going to try making my own rinks with the bottles you buy as a starter culture to save some pennies. Might be worth a try to see if it makes any difference. I notice the effects within a few days so you would know soon enough.
Really hope you get to see the doc soon and they can help. My sciatica is a lot better since I started on amitriptyline, but I know its not for everyone and fibromyalgia just sounds like an ongoing nightmare from what I hear. Still a lot of phone appointments though rather than face to face .Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200

Hi everyone sorry I've been missing I've not felt like posting at all. I didn't get a gp appointment in the end and have given up trying for now. I'm just being very careful about how much activity I do so I don't aggravate my leg.
In other news my mum and dad have both got Covid and I had spent the day with them two days before o they fell ill. They are both doing ok but it's been a struggle for my poor mum as she has had to look after dad who took to his bed and expected her to run round behind him even though she is also ill. I have spoken to her on the phone and told her to rest but she doesn't listen to me so I've given up now,I can't do anything about it to change the stimulation so there's no point fretting about it.
Ive also had a positive LFT so have been self isolating since Friday. I started getting symptoms on Thursday so did a test which was negative,I did another one on Friday which was positive, the line was faint but was definitely there. I'm waiting for the results of a PCR test but I had to do it via the post so it could take a while. I have spent most of the weekend in bed but did get up yesterday for a bit. I was hoping I would feel a bit better today but I feel as bad as I did on Saturday. I'm really annoyed because I had three days off and the weather was gorgeous so I had lots of plans to do bits in the garden but apart from clearing the patio I haven't been able to do any of it 😟
I'm not allowed to go to work until I get a negative test result so hopefully the PCR won't take too long, if it comes back negative then I don't know what I've had but it felt like flu and the headache was the same as the one I had when I got Covid the first time. I have managed to read a couple of books in between sleeping so my time hasn't been totally wastedOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
Sorry to hear that Covid has struck again, @Onebrokelady. Hope you all start feeling better very soon & that you have a nice warm snuggly blanket & a good book to read while you're getting over it.

Sorry to hear you have Covid again, I felt like you last week, headache , freezing and general fatigue . I am still testing positive on day 8 and still don't feel well. I am on my 4th book in a week and missed all the sunshine . My mum and dad have got it as well , though it's my dad looking after my mum.Hope you feel better soon and that DD stays negative. Take care .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1
