Honeysucklelou2 said:Late to the boot debate but have you tried the clearance section of Next? It’s online, so can’t try them on, but my last 3 pairs of footwear I’ve bought from there. They’ve all been reduced from £50-£60 down to £10. One pair of boots have lasted me through the last 2 winters ( being used daily for work) and are still going strong. The latest I’ve bought are really comfortable.
Sorry to hear that work have declared a major incident. Glad you were able to get out in the fields with BOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200 -

The supermarkets don't even seem to be pretending, so I guess I am going to have to try for home deliveries, which I don't really want to do.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200

Yesterday started off well and we had a nice morning but the afternoon was bonkers, luckily I was working with two very capable people who are also able to see the funny side of most situations so we coped with gallows humour as always
DD who works at the same hospital was determined to have a good day and I think she managed despite most of her team being missing. She is back working with all the Covid patients now so is hoping and praying she doesn't catch it again, she is togged up to the eyeballs in PPE all day but you never know,it's gone through her team like a dose of salts. They rotate around the Covid wards so their viral load doesn't become too high so hopefully that will work to stop them catching it again. We had 90 positive patients yesterday so it's quite bad here at the moment, I think we got up about 140ish at the peak of the pandemic. We are now on high alert again.
Today I was supposed to be visiting my mum but I am just too tired and my leg is hurting so I've stayed at home. I've got lots to catch up on so will spend the day doing that. I need to go out and buy mums Mother's Day card and gift tomorrow then I can take it up on Sunday. I won't be seeing her on Mother's Day weekend so need to sort it out this week
It has started off sunny here today so I have a load of washing pegged out with another load in the machine ,my weather app says the chance of rain is 30%so I'm hoping it stays dry 🤞🤞 I've taken B out for a short walk and have been down to my local shop for some ingredients for tonight's tea, we are having Lentil and Butternut Squash Dahl from the Gousto recipe cards. We aren't having any Gousto meals now unless DD fancies ordering any for herself so I'm going to try and recreate the ones we have tired so far, we've got loads of recipe cards to try 😊
It stayed light enough to take B for a walk up the fields after we got home from work last night so if DD gets home in time I might do that again later, it was so nice to get out for an evening walk that wasn't pitch black, it just started to get dark as we were on our way back down the lane.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202 -
Plans changed today and I didn't go into town. It's a horrible rainy day and I'm really tired so I've stayed at home. We didn't have the lentil Dahl for tea in the end last night because DD came home feeling ill and wanted to have takeaway pizza ( her treat ) so we had that instead. We are watching Stranger Things from series one again because the next series starts in May and we have forgot what happened 😀we sat and watched three episodes last night and it was as good as I remember.
Ive been out with B but only round the block and I still need to go out and sort the 🐓🐓 but I'm just having a coffee first,I was waiting to see if it would stop raining but the sky has gone really dark now so I think it's about to get worse
I'm working tomorrow so that will be Thursday taken up and I'm going to my Mums on Friday instead nowOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202 -
I got up about an hour ago to close the curtains until I realised it wasn't even 3pm yet, still looks like they need closing.

Same here. @Onebrokelady. It has been so grey & dull all day. Pouring with rain now. It isn't chicken-sorting weather, so I hope they don't need too much effort today.
