Well done on the jumper. I’ve still not picked mine up again.
How much have you lost now. You’ve done so well 👍👏👏👏
Thanks Milann, I've lost one stone now and have 1lb to go to get to the top of my goal range but 2.5lbs to get to my exact goal. I don't think I will have lost anything this week though because I have really struggled not to pick at chocolate all week. I have been very hungry all week for some reason but I am determined to get to my goal before Christmas.

Well done on the jumper success, OBL. I love a big baggy jumper this time of year. If the weather's dry, I often prefer a big jumper over a couple of layers for going for walks, rather than a coat. And that's without their other use..... popping them on indoors & being able to turn the heating down a notch.

It's super warm so I will definitely be able to turn the heating down if im wearing it indoors

  • Well done 👏 I’m not remotely crafty, I really don’t have the time or patience. I used to knit when the kids were little but I wasn’t that good at it, just passable. It used to cost me a fortune in wool too 😆
I used to knit for the kids all the time when they were little. Wool can be quite expensive now which is a shame as it puts people off but I enjoy the process of making it myself so it's worth it to me

Work went ok today but as usual now it took me ages to get home, I left at 5 and got home at 6.20 🙀😟. I am definitely going to try walking into town on my 5 pm finish because I would be home by 5.50 if the second bus is on time

Tomorrow we are going to  big farm shop type place also sells all manner of gifts, posh household things, furniture, lovely food and Christmas decorations. I wander round looking at all the things I can't afford ( Agas, posh household things etc, Sophie Allport China, Kath Kidstone et al ) then I buy naughty food that's not diet friendly plus have lunch in the restaurant before coming home with a Christmas decoration I really don't need.

We are going with a plan just to buy some beer for DD 2 to make a beer bread with a beer bread mix she bought and I am planning on trying not to spend too much money on things I can't eat or drink because they are too fattening or Christmas decorations I don't need . I will be having something in the restaurant but I'm hoping they will have something that's diet friendly.......ish 😁

I was also told today that my favourite garden centre has now got all the Christmas bits out so will need to go there at some point too. I love walking round there at Christmas 😍

Did I post about us making pompom garlands for Christmas, I took the plunge and ordered the wool and it arrived today. I've taken a photo of the colour combinations that have been used in the blanket  that the wool is originally for so we can follow that colour scheme. I have got the colour scheme from the Attic 24 blog, she has designed a Yule crochet blanket so I'm using those colours to make the Pom poms, they should look lovely together because she as such a good eye for colour combinations. I hope they looks as good in Pom Pom form as they do in a blanket

Pom Pom garlands sound lovely. When the gks were here last week we made a pom Pom each. 😂😂 took all week 😂😂 but they loved it. They made them into necklaces and didn’t take them off. Eldest gdd said she wanted to make a string of them to hang in her bedroom but changed her mind when she found out long it too for her to make one. I might make her one…..

I have the plastic Pom Pom makers but the ones I've got are too big so I need to get the smaller size. When we last made them we made 75 in a day 😀

  • Had a nice day at the place we visited. We got the train to the little town where it is and then it's about a 15 minute walk from there. The weather was lovely in the morning so it was quite nice walking along the estuary in the sun.

We had a good look round and both saw lots we would have loved to buy of money was no object but we didn't buy much at all,DD bought some Christmas beer and a cute Christmas present for me and all I bought was a pack of four tea cakes from a local baker and a bar of coffee flavoured chocolate which is very tasty indeed

We did have lunch there which was yummy,I went for a mature cheddar sandwich made from local cheese with onion marmalade 😍😍DD had a Brie and black grape sandwich and we shared a bowl of chips which were yummy too

The day didn't end too well though because on the train on the way back my leg started hurting and we then had to walk home from the station so by the time I got home I was limping very badly, I still can't walk on it properly now so I took the decision to phone work earlier to tell them I won't be in tomorrow. I'm definitely going to be in for formal monitoring now as I've had too much time off with it but there is no way I can do a 12 hour shift while not being able to put all my weight on one of my legs. I can walk on my toes but that's all and I've got pins and needles in all my toes now 😟

I also had a rummage in my craft stash today and found my Pom Pom makers but I think I need the smaller ones. I was going to go back out to Hobbycraft on Sunday but that won't happen now so I will order them online instead. I am going to start the advent house tomorrow so will hopefully get that done over the next few days

Tonight I've just been sitting here with my leg up on a cushion watching Gogglebox but I'm going to bed soon as it hurts less when I'm lying down

It annoys me when workplaces put people on formal monitoring when it’s obvious that person has had a run of bad luck with health. They must know whether people are genuine or not. Although I know it’s an automatic trigger when you hit a certain marker, it happened to me when I broke my ankle the first time. You can’t go if you’re in pain so it is what it is.
