The leg sounds a real pain - literally 😵💫Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
Had a good day at work yesterday followed by a nightmare journey trying to get home, I left work at 5pm and didn't get home until 6.45pm, I waited for an hour in town for a bus before giving up and running over to the taxi rank and jumping in a taxi which cost me nearly £8 😡 I was so fed up with waiting in the cold and rain plus DD had gone out so I was taking B for her evening walk and she hadn't had her tea, she was barking like mad when I eventually got back
I also had my covid booster at work yesterday so that's out of the way now. I woke up feeling a bit yucky with a slightly sore throat this morning but hopefully it won't be too bad, I'm all up to date now with vaccines which is a relief.
Today I met my mum for lunch and a stroll round town, she is really struggling and said she doesn't think she will be doing it anymore. I've told her I will go and visit her at home instead if she doesn't want to come out. I do worry that she will just be sitting at home all the time and not doing anything and I've suggested hiring a wheelchair on the days we meet but she doesn't want me pushing her around, she wouldn't cope with a mobility scooter so that's not an option but she might be persuaded to use a walker so I will just have to wait and see what she decides to do. I get the feeling she is giving up on life in general as she doesn't have any enthusiasm for anything really. I came home feeling quite sad about it all.
Tomorrow I'm working a long day but not starting until 9 due to a lack of transport early in the morning ,I'm hoping it will be quiet so I can leave early but the chances of that are very unlikely. I'm not looking forward to trying to get home at 8pm if the buses are the same as they were yesterday, I might just stay on the hospital bus and walk home from the train station instead of waiting in town.
Monday is my day off and I have a list as long as my arm of jobs I'm supposed to be doing,I keep seeing things that need doing and telling myself I will do them on Monday but I'm going to need Monday to be 24 hours long at this rate 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -

The situation with your Mum sounds difficult and saddening. My Mum wasn't mobile but I used to try to bring the outside world to her: a takeaway coffee and something from the baker's to share on grey days might recapture some of the Mum and daughter trips to town feeling. Perhaps when there's a sunny day you could go out of doors even if it's just to sit in a park or go to the corner shop.
I hope your day off goes to plan.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Day off today after a busy week so far at work. The clock change has messed up my eating habits though and I was ready for a break an hour earlier than usual 🙄
My weekly round up so far is
Sunday- work went ok but I was in agony all day but nothing new there .
Monday - Day off but didn't go anywhere due to being really tired and feeling ill with a bad chest again 😡
Tuesday - worked an early which made a nice change. I went food shopping after work for veg mainly and to pick up my regular prescription.DD did a stir fry and put brussel sprouts in it ......god they tasted good 😍. We watched GBBO and I'm not happy with who they sent home,I think out of the ones that could have gone that person was the wrong one 😟
Slept badly due to a massive head ache and coughing 😡
Wednesday slept in late due to lack of sleep last night, woke up with the headache still lingering and still got a bad chest. My chest has never been the same after getting Covid last year but I'm not really sure there is anything they can do about it. I can't get a GP appointment for several weeks but I'm tempted to just book one and then just cancel it if it gets better 🤷♀️I have started taking echinacea twice a day to see if that will boost my immune system. I'm constantly working with children who have coughs and colds though so constantly coming into contact with different infections and despite wearing a mask I am picking bugs up.
So far today I have walked B and sorted the chickens,I've got some washing on the go but apart from that I'm not planning on doing much at all. I might finish my jumper today so I can wear it now it's cold.
I have had my fuel bill today and appear to be £ 174 in credit 🎉🎉which I'm just going to ignore now it's getting colder and the heating is on.
I also need to update my signature to allow for the SC payment to come outOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -
