My journey to a debt free life

Forgot to post to say I HAVE FINISHED MY JUMPER😀 it's a bit too big and the sleeves are too long but it's. I started knitting it when I was bigger so I could have done the smaller size if I had known I would lose weight but it does exactly what I wanted it to do which was to keep me warm while walking B. I wanted a baggy chunky jumper to wear at home when it's chilly and that's exactly what it is,I am quite pleased with it now it's finished. I might knit another one at some point but in a different colour and with maybe an upgrade in the quality of the wool
I now need to finish the cross stitch that's on my frame and get the advent house painted. I think I will do that next so it's definitely ready for December 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,756 Owed = £10,8743 -
Well done on the jumper! Not sure how long it's taken but in my head finishing a jumper is a Big Achievement.
I'm working on one for which I bought the wool six or seven years ago...
Baggy chunky jumpers are the best, so cosy.
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Well done on the jumper. I am batting the last quarter of my cross stitch as I want to gift it for Xmas, but it has been. A Year long slog 😂Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1

Well done on the jumper. I’ve still not picked mine up again.
How much have you lost now. You’ve done so well 👍👏👏👏January spends - £587.581 -
Well done on the jumper success, OBL. I love a big baggy jumper this time of year. If the weather's dry, I often prefer a big jumper over a couple of layers for going for walks, rather than a coat. And that's without their other use..... popping them on indoors & being able to turn the heating down a notch.
F x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!1 -
Happy new jumper! Enjoy!😃🧶Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Well done 👏 I’m not remotely crafty, I really don’t have the time or patience. I used to knit when the kids were little but I wasn’t that good at it, just passable. It used to cost me a fortune in wool too 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Well done on the jumper, I still haven’t finished a scarf from January! 😂September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x1 -
I think I started it sometime last year, I can't remember now but I've finished it just in time for this winter so I'm happy with that. It's very warm and cosy 😊Cherryfudge said:Well done on the jumper! Not sure how long it's taken but in my head finishing a jumper is a Big Achievement.
