Hope you enjoyed the walnut whips. I’ve been absolutely hopeless diet wise. I’m still determined to do it but not getting very far at all. Your walk along the river to chinwag with your friend sounds good.

Is that Segway Olympics at Haldon Forest?  We did that for my DHs retirement do a few years back.  Great fun. Glad you are feeling a bit better.
No it's at Escot Park, it looks like lots of fun but I'm not going now because I'm not feeling too good again 😟

Thanks I'm torn between being by the sea or out in the country side, so long as I can go riding being by the sea would probably win though 😀

I wish whatever is making me feel ill would clear off 😡 I felt awful yesterday at work 😟I did a LFT  test and a Lamp Test and both were negative so it's not Covid 🎉🎉 I did manage to do my whole shift minus 30 minutes which they owed me.

Last night DD went to Cornwall until Sunday so I've got the place to myself. I spent last night curled up on the settee watching Maid on Netflix, it was really good and I did finish watching it last night, I would quite like to read the book now 😊

I was supposed to meet my mum today but cancelled due to not feeling too good, she is also not feeling great so was going to cancel anyway which helps me not feel bad for letting her down. I know how much she looks forward to meeting up so hate not going 😟 I don't want her to catch whatever this is that I've got though.

All I've done today is take B for a walk around the local footpath, I love it up there as it's surrounded by trees and fields and all you can hear are the birds and the occasional horse neighing, you would believe it's right on the edge of the suburbs of a small city. I was followed by a very small persistent robin on the way round, next time I might take some bird seed to chuck down. You do have to be careful though because there are also quite a few cats that like to hang around up there.

Im making myself rest today in the hope it will help me get better but I've got to work a 12 hour shift tomorrow and I'm walking to work so need a relaxing day today. I'm not going to go for the away day because I don't feel well enough and I have to get a lift with a colleague and I don't think it's fair to sit in her car with her and risk giving her my lurgy. I could wear a mask but I don't think they help that much to be honest, I caught covid even though I wore a mask and it didn't help me 🤷‍♀️.The away day has been disrupted anyway because our team lead is now too ill to even join in via teams so we aren't doing the work section on Monday anymore,we have to do that at a later date, so it's just the Segway thing in the morning . I hope our team lead recovers soon and doesn't end up in hospital, she is a lovely person and just doesn't seem to be getting any better 😟

Fingers crossed your team lead gets better soon. I’ve heard of several people being unwell at the moment. Also hope you feel better soon too 🤞
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

masks are a way of protecting others if you have asymptomatic Covid so worth wearing if you can

WARNING YOU MIGHT FIND THIS POST UPSETTING IF YOU LOVE YOUR PARENTS
I just need to offload and have no where to do it so here goes
I want to run away from here and not tell my parents where I've gone, isn't that awful 😟 I love my Mum but she is unemotionally available to anyone. She has no confidence and is always coming from the point of view that she is somehow a hindrance or putting you out, she apologises constantly and although I know why she does this and can usually deal with it I have to admit it's making me irrationally angry nowadays

I must love my dad because he is my Dad after all but I don't like him most of the time, he is an angry person who takes it out on my Mum,he  often shouts at her because he loses his temper, they have a toxic relationship which is hard to observe.

I know that the stress of being with both of them is making me ill. I avoid seeing them together whenever I can because I feel like I am walking on eggshells waiting for the  next bad thing to happen. I then feel guilty because I should want to spend time with my parents but I just feel so awful after seeing them.

My Mum chose to move down here to be with my Dad after they had been apart for over 12 years, she brought me with her but left two of my sisters behind, she left behind a stepdad she didn't love but who I adored, he was my hero😢 I never saw him again.

Today they dropped some garden edging around and were here for less than 10 minutes but it was so stressful that I am now left feeling awful,I could feel my heart rate increasing as I was walking to the car because Mum told me to ask Dad to come and park closer to my house, he was in a mood because he had forgotten where I live 🙀 anyway he moved the car and then went to get out but Mum had decided they weren't staying because I am not well. He was clearly put out by this and proceeded to shout at her to get back in the car then if we aren't staying.

I just came back into my house and realised I'm not ever going to get better from what is a stress related illness while I am dealing with my parents toxic relationship. I'm angry with my mum because via her and because of her choices we are all being verbally and mentally abused by our Dad. We all tiptoe round him so we don't upset him, while she goes out of her way to say stuff that she knows will, in the meantime I am there trying to keep the situation light so they don't fall out

I would just like parents who actually like each other and a normal family, I'm not going to get it now because it's too late. Now I just want to leave and not look back 😢
