It’s so annoying when snotty emails are sent out. I can understand you wanting to go it alone. See what they say today but make sure you let your head rather than your heart make the decision.
    Happy painting 👍

Sorry to hear you've had a hard day and a nasty email. Do you feel confident to self-manage? I can see from your signature that you've been repaying for a few years so the system must be well established.

    Enjoy your days off. :)
Thanks Cherry, I'm confident that I could self manage but don't really want the hassle, at the moment it just ticks along in the background and doesn't require any input from me. The only disadvantage of this is that my payment is set and I have to go through SC to change it, everyone gets paid an amount pro rata of the debt I owe and I have one debt that I could pay off in one go I think as it's down to a couple of hundred pounds now. I'm not going to phone them today,I'm going to log in and look at where I am plus do my budget and see where I am then. I will then decide what to do 😊

It really got my goat to be honest,I have never messed them around or missed a payment and I've tried to do my review online because I get anxiety around using the phone. Just thinking about having to phone them and go through all my finances is making me very nervous, as I said to Cherry above I'm going to do some investigating and then decide what to do 😊

I get phone anxiety too, much better to do something in writing where I can think it through and edit if I find something I've forgotten.
I hope you can get online today.

  • I get phone anxiety too….I actually think it’s because (even at my age) I’m frightened of authority and will back down when challenged, even if I’m in the right…or get angry and or tearful when trying to stick up for myself. In writing I can get across everything I need to and I have a record of what was said, if proof is needed later.

I’ve just done exactly that…..got in a fluster talking to a union rep and trying to explain what happened and when…..I emailed a letter and timeline of events and it’s so much easier for them to understand. I do get very anxious though trying to send or open attachments….I’d rather snail mail things…..

I also prefer to email than phone so I can review before sending. It was my worst nightmare when I was drafted in to man the helplines at work last year at the start of the pandemic after a very brief 3 days training. I was then swapped to webchat which suited me better. Obviously I was rubbish so had to go back to my normal day job which doesn’t involve phones thank goodness 😅

I hate the phone too. Even ordering a take away makes me anxious and I’ve got that written down. If they ask a question then I get all flustered.

I won't order a takeaway on the phone, I don't even phone people I know, I always message them

I haven't looked at SC yet because I've got too much to do this week 😟I went to SW and stayed the same this week which I was relieved about because I didn't have a particularly good weekend really. I had a good food day yesterday but today has been one of those days where I've just been hungry all day. I have stuck to the plan but only just and I've still got several hours to go before bed

Ive been painting again today and have done the wall down over the stairs, I've also put a first coat on the airing cupboard door as this open outwards onto the landing. I'm not too fussed about getting the bedroom doors done yet because they open inwards and I can put paper under them when I paint them. Im hoping to finish the landing on Thursday and then make a start on the front porch way. I haven't done anything to this yet but it's not very big so won't take long. I am hoping to finish that on Saturday and that will be everywhere finished that is having flooring put down. I'm then having a short break before I finish the bathroom then it will be my bedrooms turn. I also want to do the kitchen but this is going to involve painting all the cupboards as well so I'm not doing that yet.

Im now off to cook some tea and sort the chickens out before I collapse for the day. I can't wait to get this all finished so I can get back to doing the things I enjoy. I have a Christmas cross stitch to do and my lovely mum bought me an embroidery kit on Saturday that I'm itching to start. I've also got an idea for making Pom Pom garlands for Christmas this year so I need to get these jobs done and out of the way
