Yay work phoned me earlier and asked me to cover OPD tomorrow so I'm now working 9-5 instead of 12 to 8 🎉🎉🎉I don't like the late shift so this suits me much better 😊
I sorted the chickens then after I had my tea I took B for a nice walk through the fields. I've been at home all day and needed to get out for some fresh air, it's been cold and windy today but this evening was quite pleasant. I also managed to do some more washing which means I have now caught up with the washing mountain from last week 😀

A lady I used to work with has a webpage selling all things Pom Pom ish. Tiddly om Pom Pom…..The Christmas garlands are amazing…..but her prices 😳😳😳, but I suppose a lot of work goes into them. I’m sure you can do just as well 👍 I’m quite fancying crocheting a Christmas wreath. I think I’ll drop big hints about a book I’ve seen for my birthday  😜

We made 75 poms poms a couple of years ago for decorations and it took us ages, I could use some of them if I decide to do it. I will g and have a look for inspiration 😀I like the sound of a crochet wreath, I've seen some lovely ones on Pinterest 😊

Today I had to go shopping so that was my first job of the day, I then came back and had lunch and got straight into painting. I realised last night that I had forgotten about the ceiling on the landing 🙀so did that today. I was also going to do more of the gloss but I don't feel too good so gave up, I now have Saturday and Monday to finish the front porch and a bit of touching up on the landing wall where I did some filling. I am cutting it fine but it can't be helped.
I am so fed up with painting now I just can't wait to get it finished so I can do something nice for a change on my days off

It's been a lovely sunny day here today and I should have done some washing but it was too late by the time I got back from town. I won't put the machine on when I'm out because I had a house fire once from my washing machine, it did actually chuck it down for about 20 minutes earlier so I'm glad I didn't do any

Tonight I'm cooking a roasted veg and sausage tray bake for my tea and there will be enough for tomorrow as well. I'm 9-5 tomorrow so won't need to cook then when I get in 😊

So impressed with all your painting. How do you avoid getting it everywhere? I start off really carefully then it starts splattering all over, which is why I pay someone professional to do it. I wish I could do it myself, surely it can’t be that hard 🤔
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Good to hear all the painting is nearly done , ready for the flooring. I wish I enjoyed DIY I would save some money, but not to be.
Your Christmas crafting sounds interesting as well .

Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.

I've been decorating my own places since I left home at 18. I moved into a grotty flat and the landlord agreed to let me paint it and I was only 18,I've lost count of the amount of decorating I've done over the years. When DD1 and SIL got their house I went everyday for months to help them do it up, this was a complete house renovation that included things like knocking out a fireplace. I have had years of practice but I do sometimes get paint where it's not supposed to be,the carpet here that's being pulled up next week has got paint all over it because I know it's going to the tip 😀

    Edited to add
Its not that hard so long as you prep properly, take your time and don't overload your brush / roller 😊

I wouldn't say I enjoy it as such, it's just something that needed doing and I'm too tight to pay someone if I can do it myself 😀 I'm hoping the Christmas crafting will be a reality and not just one of my ideas I don't get round to 😊
