My journey to a debt free life

Good news of the day is that my oven is now working again. I was chatting to DD about it and then had the thought that maybe it was just the bulb that had blown and tripped the switch so when we got back we turned it on and it's working 🎉🎉🎉it's just the indicator bulb that tells you when the oven is on that is broken so I can use it again now 😊
We went shopping today and also took some clothes of DDs to the charity shop, we didn't end up trying the new bakery in the end because it was full so we went to one we have been to before, I had a sour dough toasty with mature cheddar and pineapple and onion chutney 😍and a piece of lemon and pistachio polenta cake 😍I won't need anything for tea now because I am stuffed, I'm not sure how much damage I will have done to this weeks weight loss but I have been careful on all the other days.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -

Cancel the post about my oven working it was just the fan, I put a potato in to cook and forgot about it,went racing into the kitchen to rescue it to find one raw potato sitting in the oven 😂 so at least we now know it's the heating element which is easy to get fixed. I also discovered that my top oven/ grill still works so put the same potato on there and promptly forgot about it, I never use my top oven and I've now discovered it cooks things quite quickly so that poor potato was burnt and ended up in the bin. It was beans on toast for me at work yesterday 😀
Guess what I'm doing today ................more painting 😫😫😫😫😫Im seriously fed up with it now but have to finish the porch today because it all needs to be done by Wednesday, there's not actually a lot left to do that is on a timetable. I need to do all the bedroom doors but can do them anytime over the next week or so and I need to do the loft hatch but can take that out and do it outside if I want to
Ive got to go into town in a bit because I need more paint and we have run out of cat litter. I'm just waiting for some washing to finish so I can peg it out before I go then I will be painting for the rest of today
I do have to go to SW later but can carry on after if I need to 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -
Painting can get very tedious after a while @Onebrokelady. I suppose now, the thing is to push through & just get it finished, then you can actually enjoy how much fresher & brighter everywhere is looking. I always start painting with great enthusiasm, but then find I've forgotten how physically tiring it is on my arms & shoulders. It's just one of those jobs which always seems to take longer than anticipated. Painting doors & woodwork is probably my worst kind of painting. Luckily in our current house, our doors are just waxed pine, so much easy to maintain. I brush a bit of wax in their general direction every few years if I can be bothered & leave them to get on with it.
Good luck at SW. I am planning to weigh in at the weekend, but I don't feel as though I've lost anything this time & unplanned treats this last weekend won't have helped!

Your trip to the bakery sounded lovely. It will balance itself out. My old SW lady used to say take the weight over the month and don’t get put off with a gain. I’m expecting a gain this week after my visitors. I had some nice things I don’t often eat in for them…they didn’t eat them but guess who did 😂😵💫😏
Would steroid injections in your hip be an option or do they not work with the FM.
I hope you get the painting sorted before the flooring arrives. Bet it will look lovely 👍January spends - £587.581 -
Current mood is stunned sadness to hear that Charlie Watts has died, the Rolling Stones are one of my most favourite bands and it will never be the same without him 😟
I have emptied most of the living room this evening ready for the flooring guys tomorrow I just have one cabinet to move in the morning. I'm now off to bed because after a day at work followed by moving furniture I am worn out and my hip is throbbing merrily away. I'm looking forward to the oblivion that will be brought on by my painkillers very shortlyOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -

Moving furniture is tiring I agree , I ended up with loads of bruises as well. I hope you don't wake up in pain. Hoping the flooring goes down today and your lounge and hall looks lovely after it's done . You have worked hard to get it ready .Have a good day.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.0
