My journey to a debt free life

If the radiator doesn't do the job have you considered a dehumidifier.? When I had my new bathroom done I had an extractor fan done too. I've found the dehumidifier works faster than the extractor fan & is also cheaper. I wish I had known how great it was going to be, if I had realised I would have got a higher spec one with an off switch when it got to a certain himidity level. Life is all a learning curve though isn't it?2

The flooring sounds great, glad you’re pleased with it. Bad news about the radiator but best get it sorted before it becomes a problem. We are really short staffed in the office where I work, lost loads on promotion to other areas and retirements.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

milann said:Good to hear you have renewed motivation with the SW….I went off the wagon when the family were home but been much more in control this week again. It’s so hard not to pick rubbish when you are stressed at work…..the staff room sued to be one of my weak areas when I was at work but I don’t have that excuse these days…..if I go off the rails it’s all my own doing 😏
The house sounds as if it is coming along really nicely- I bet it’s lovely to be in now.
Work however doesn’t sound a lovely place to be at all……your u do an amazing job 👏
I will get back on board with SW and hopefully come up with some ways to avoid temptation in the staff room, tomorrow it will be easy because I'm 9-5 in busy clinics all day so I won't get a coffee break and lunch will be eaten in one of the empty rooms between clinics so no visits to the staff room 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -

have a lovely evening x
I still don't know how much the radiators are going to cost but I have £600 left so hopefully not more than that, the problem is the radiator in the living room is a long thin one under the window so it needs to be a certain size to fit, it's so old he doesn't even know if you can get them in that size.I am going to do some of my own research as well so I know roughly what to expect
The poor old NHS is actually on its knees at the moment and I am waiting for something major to go wrong somewhere because the way it's operating at the moment isn't safe and staff are leaving in droves 😟if I could I would leave too but I can't so I've just got to make the best of it. I'm so fed up of seeing colleagues crying in the corridors because they have had enough, one of our nurses was physically sick on Sunday but had to stay because we would have been stuck without her 😟Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -

Got the grass cut so the front garden looks tidy again. I also cleaned out the 🐓🐓and got some more washing out on the line,I will leave that out overnight and pray it doesn't rain,I don't think we are forecast any here so should be ok. That's all my bedding washed now and most of it back in the airing cupboard
We took B for a nice walk through the fields this evening and I am now officially tired and ready for bed.
I have work tomorrow so that's my day sorted ,then Thursday it's back to painting either the porch way walls or the bedroom doors I can't decide 🤷♀️
Right off to bed now ,have a good day tomorrow everyone xOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
My heart goes out to all those still on the front line with ever-decreasing resources. I work in social care and it's much the same here: the sector is understaffed by tens of thousands. I heard that people prefer to work in hospitality which I can understand.
DS2 is a nurse and constantly on the go: when he started a couple of years ago he was with a contingent of other new nurses, all local. This year's new contingent is all from abroad - and to be fair the care sector would have foundered long ago without the amazing staff from other countries. However England no longer funds nursing degrees which is short-sighted in the extreme.

The nursing definitely needs to go back to being funded….I saw how hard the nursing staff worked when I was in hospital and that was a year ago….and it definitely doesn’t appear to be any better for them. I can’t believe it’s a year ago today I was in ICU…..how time flies.
You are doing amazingly well with the house. Hope you manage to resist temptation at work…..don’t dare give up with SW…..you’re keeping me going 👍👍January spends - £587.581 -
Well done on all the DIY and work you have had done. You must be so pleased with it all.Sorry to hear how awful work is at the moment though. As you write though, staff shortages seem prevalent across the board in all areas though. My sister is a manager at a motel which is more of a wedding/events venue now. She has lost a lot of staff since lockdown and can't replace them. They have business streaming in if they want it now, but are having to turn this away to concentrate on the weddings that are going ahead which had been cancelled from last year. The cleaning company that they used have told her they can't renew the contract as they can't even get staff! She and the other staff they have are doing up to 15 hour days including the cleaning as well as waiting. She said she is praying that their chef and sous chef don't get poached as everything will just fall to pieces......😞Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
